so my cat is 14 yrs old. i've had her since i was a child and now, she has a bald spot on the back of her neck. she scratches it but there is no irritation, no sores, no flaky skin...nothing. it is only one bald spot and it has stayed generally the same size. nothing really has changed in her life to cause trama. she plays, eats and sleeps everyday....what old cats usually do. is this a sign of being old or is this something else?

help!

By any chance do you put flea medication on her in that area?

no, i guess i figured since she snuggles up with me every night that i'd have some flea indications as well. should i go ahead and try it? i just don't understand how a strictly indoor cat could get fleas for the first time in her life

No, I was wondering if the spot was a reaction to flea meds.
