are eye boogies normal on a kitten?

I just adopted a three month old kitty. Eek! Too cute!

He's got eye boogies though. Not a lot... pretty much the same amount that I have in my eyes when I first wake up sometimes.

Is it just as normal on him as it is on me?

He's fine with me wiping them off with a tissue, so I don't think his eyes are sore or bothering him or anything.

Yeah, as long as he's not producing like huge amounts of gross gooey stuff (ie: the signs of a type of eye infection), his eyes aren't red and look normal then it's probably just the result of the sandman visiting while he's slept Oliver gets them sometimes too - usually after a nap and if he doesn't take care of them during his preening, I just gently wipe them away with my finger (I don't have long nails, lol).... again, his are just tiny amounts usually kinda crusty... between him, me and the dog, the sandman makes frequent visits to our house, haha

Harry was the same when I got him at 8 weeks and once he got used to his new diet they cleared right up. His eyes brightened a lot as well.He still gets a bit of sleep in his eyes (that's what we call it!) but nothing bad.

When Chief (mainecoon) was a kitten, he used to get those eye boogers but now he doesn't get them.. however when I first got Dante from the humane shelter he had an eye infection, in which his one eye had hardcore green leakage!! Vet prescribed me some stuff and he hasn't had it since I'd say, however, that with kittens its normal as long as it doesn't look like your kitty has an eye infection.
