Book or Movie?

I'm not sure if you guys talked about this before but I was interested to know if there are any books out there translated to the big screen where you actually preferred the movie. Mostly I prefer the literary version but there are a couple of exceptions where I've liked both equally, namely the Lord of the Rings trilogy and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Any crime thrillers, such as early John Grisham or Dean Koontz, the book tends to be far better IMO.

What do you think?

Hmm, I like the HP books and movies equally...same with the LotR series. I like the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movies better than the book, for sure...probably because all the candy and gadgets in the factory are so much better on-screen than the ones I imagine...lol
