Michigan Meet-up!!

August 5th is a cat show in GR. Can't (B'day weekend),cottage
August 12th ?
August 19th Can't (BF's family here)
August 26th Can't (Wedding)
September 2nd is Labor day weekend so that's out!
September 9th Good so far
September 16th Good so far

September 30th Good so far

Ok, I had to edit my dates... and looking at them Aug. just isn't a good month for me... it seems I have something to do every weekend.

I think we're going for the West side of MI. We haven't gotten as far as a location yet, that I know of. I Know that Crittergirl's cottage was mentioned, and Michigan Adventure was talked about...

I know that most of the meet-ups are generally a one day, lunch, museum, picnic type of thing, so that it's easy for everyone, you get to meet the most people, and if you all decide you like each other you can do mini meet-ups with people real close to you like going to the movies or camping and such. I think the only problem with a camping thing now would be, if you really clash with someone, your sort of stuck and we don't have a ton of people from Michigan. So it's not like 40 people are going to show, it tends to be around 5 for most any of the meet-ups actually showing. So to try to get the bigger turnout and actually meet more people, it tends to be a nice, easy thing. But if after this meet-up you want to set-up a camping trip for some, that might actually be really nice!

Sorry, I missunderstood that! There is a really nice campground here near Michigan's Adventure and the lake and stuff. Once we find out which location for sure I am sure who ever is closest to that area can point you to some very nice campgrounds! That would also be cool too if whoever you are closest to camping you could probably hang out with them on a different day as well! (OT: my dad has the nickname TinyDancer as well, even though he is a big guy! )

Alright guys lets try to get some other peoples dates on here after the weekend and then we will try to narrow it down and set a date!

Ok... We're waiting on Pookie's schedule and haven't heard what dates tinydancer could do but I think for sure we are looking at any Sunday in September except labor day weekend. So 9/9, 9/16, 9/23 or 9/30. Once we find out Pookies schedule we'll try to nail one down and see if Nat can come over on one of those days and see if Linda can get her husband to let her ride up too!

Of course, they seem to be dragging their feet getting the new schedule out! Still waiting....

We will wait patiently for it cuz we'd love to have you there!!! You know that will always happen like that when you are waiting on something or wanting something it goes the opposite. Computer did that to me at work today!!

I am scheduled to work one weekend a month so the sooner I know the better. Sept. seems like a better time than Aug., at least for me it is.
Sorry don't have any ideas on places etc. but I think enough other people do so it will work out. PM if I can be of any help etc.
