Our 1 yr old cats were recently diagnosed with mild gingivitis. Their test came back negative for bartonella. I use a piece of gauze with some flavor toothpaste to wipe their teeth daily, follow up with a couple of dental treats. Twice a day I let them lick off Logic Oral Hygiene Gel from my finger. I also add CET rinse to one of their water bowls. It's been a month and I see no improvement. Those who dealt with this problem before, can you tell me:

1. How long before I see any improvement? I understand Rome isn't built in a day but I would like an estimate so I can look forward to.

2. We will be taking them to another vet closer to us shortly. Are there any products out there known to effectively treat gingivitis?

Thanks for any input.

Crap! I reread the thread to make sure I include everything. Yes they are on 60% wet, 40% dry. Last week I began to mix very small amount of Nature's Variety Raw Frozen to their wet food as well.

UPDATE: Had to bring one of the kitty to vet for another thing (here's the thread). I told her what I did @ home & ask for any suggestions, she said that I'm already doing everything and 1 month is too soon to tell. We discussed several other options if months down the road I still do not see any improvement. Will keep everyone posted.
