Seriously. My cat will bite them, sniff them, stick it's head in them. Is this normal, or some kind of... uh... shoe-biting disorder?

It is perfectly normal! Mine do the same thing, sniff them, sleep in them, attack them. Just wait until they lay claim to your undies

One of mine does the same thing, as soon as I get home from work, and kick them off on the mat, he up there sniffing rolling around, etc. I think he is trying to find out where I have been!
(My gray boy, Douglas)

Also, the other one, Deacon, (orange tabby) is a slipper stealer. He goes into my closet, takes slippers and puts them in his cat cube.

Their older sister, Lady, justs lays around looking down at them disdainfully,
regal queen that she is.

Mosi is the same. When he was little he was obsessed with the pair of shoes I kept at the bottom of the bed. He doesn't do it so much now but he still has his moments - last night he was playing with them and trying to stick his head in them

I have a kitty that likes to mark shoes with her mouth, also. Pretty normal.

I would be pretty worried if my cats were not interested in shoes!

Sounds like totally normal behavior to me.

honestly - you brought a smile to my face - thanks!

OH - one of my cats will bury his head in a stinky shoe.
