Hi. Is it possible to over-stimulate a cat when playing? My cat has become bored with all of our regular games and has decided he only likes to chase things that move very fast. I let him chase a toy attached to a platic rod and he loves it but he gets very excited and begins panting, I assume because he's so out of breath!

Tomas does this too. All I can say is make the cat take breaks. I only let Tomas play hard for 5 minutes or so, if he shows no signs of wanting to sit out the game for a few minutes while I purposely focus on Sho, then I put the toy up completely.

The panting and worked up behavior actually reminded me of the pitbulls I grew up with. All of our dogs loved to play and would not stop, even when they were out of breath.
