ARGGHHHH!!!! Kids & Cats-- an vet appt in the making

We just got home from buying groceries. I had cleaned the house earlier this morning as well. I walked into the study to find PB eating the ribbon of a cassette tape! I don't know how much he ate or anything but we are going to the dr first thing in the morning. My 6 yr old son (PB is his cat) is hysterical. We dont have the money right now for an ER appt and the ER is across town and I wouldnt be able to pick him up tomorrow until very late as they arent open in the daytime. I just called and they are over capacity with sick animals from the food recall thing. They told me that if he starts seizing or bleeding that they will try to work him in but cant guarantee it.

Im taking him to Beavis' dr-- Dr Oeben in Houston (shes a feline practitioner and pretty good)

Please send us some vibes for tonite-- i don't think ill be sleeping much tonite-- waiting on him to vomit or something. God this is scary. I can just see this stuff twisitng around his insides.

I threw away ALL of the kids cassette tapes just a min ago and have the VCR tapes under lock and key now. I have warned them several times about leavin the tapes out like that. UGHHHHHHHHH

I hope that he is okay.

I seriously have never had such a thing cross my mind as a kitty eating that stuff on video tapes.

I am sending you good vibes to your kitty.

I have prayed for him and for you to get a good night's sleep, and for him to be fine in the morning- let us know how it goes- the waiting can be scary, I know .

That must be very scary. Do you have any idea how much he may have eaten?

Poor kitty. I have no idea why they eat things like that! I hope you had an uneventful night with him and that things go well at the vet today.

Lots of luck for you and PB.

Good vibes to you, your son and of course PB! How is PB? Hope he is ok and there are no serious consequences of him swallowing the tape. . Keep us updated
