Vibes for my sister's cat

Her cat was attacked by an animal (we don't know) and part of her tongue was ripped off. She didn't come home for a day and when she did my sister gave her food and water and went back to sleep. Golden girl didn't touch her food so my sister looked at her mouth and saw a little bit of blood. She took her to the vet and she went into surgery. The vet said that part of her tongue was dead and that he was going to try to save the rest of her tongue. He said if he couldn't do it then we should put her down.

We will know tomorrow if she's going to live.

She's Pitufo & Princess older sister.

Oh, how sad. Poor wee thing. It's always a worry when kitties are indoor/outdoor. There are so many bad things (and sometimes people) out there.

I hope the vet can save her tongue. Keep us posted.

She's an indoor/outdoor cat. She's one of those cats that runs out of the house as soon as they see someone opening the door. My sister always wanted her to be an indoor cat.

Thanks for the vibes the vet was able to save her tongue. She's home now. She's drank a little water but for now she can't eat any food.

The vet said that a person probably did this to her because she didn't have any injuries. My sister is very upset if someone tried to hurt her. She's going to keep her inside from now on.

I second this .... I've found since moving out to the country that out here animals of all spieces seem to be disposible . I don't understand it and have a really hard time with it. My animals are my family members. I've never really met anyone who would kill a litter of kittens rather than find a home for them. until I moved out to the country.
We've lived in the country now for going on 5 years and in that time we've had 2 cats and a dog that seemed to have been dumped. Both cats I found homes for and the dog took off to who knows were. I'm sure there is more but that's all that have come to our doorstep.
It burns me up

Thank you everyone!

She's doing ok even though she is trying to get out. She just wants to see the neighborhood cats.
