I'm so glad to hear little Kaelyn is doing well! I know she's getting lots of vibes and prayers from the TCS crew, and we all know how potent those are! Please do let us know anything you need, I'm sure we can find a way to provide!

So good to hear that Kaelyn is doing well and pooping.

With all that has happened you are doing amazingly well. It's good that Amber came to you in your dream. I know it's confusing but to me it just confirms that she is there for you and Kaelyn and always will be. Be sure to tell Kaelyn how much her mommy loved and wanted her.

I agree with others that a lawyer is needed. It's good that your parents have started that process. Ideally Stan can be persuaded to relinquish his parental rights so that you can adopt Kaelyn if that is what you want.

I'm also thinking of all Amer's pets. The poor babies- they don't understand where their mommy is/
I hope you can help them to calm down and eventually adjust to the new situation.

Many hugs to all of you.

Well Im back and I slept for a couple hours at the hospital. There's nothing really to do there except talk to Amber's family and I every time I see her sisters it just makes me so upset. So I ended up crashing on a couch. I did get to hold Kaelyn again but she was sleeping at first then she started to cry. She has a very loud cry.
We will have to go to court and get me legal gaurdianship of Lava Girl for me to get her. DCF has already been to the hospital and they are putting Lava Girls case up as soon as possible. They want her to go home with someone who knew Amber instead of a foster home. So it should from what the case worker said be dealt with before she is let out. The doctors say she has to stay in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. Maybe longer if she cant get the hang of breathing. She breathes very weird and is on oxygen. They gave her a bath because the nurses didnt clean her off very well and she still had some dried blood and stuff on her. So I sorta got a pic of that. Not the greatest its zoomed up and taken thru a window. Then I got a pic of her before they put all her wires back on her.
Lava Girls first bath. Showing of her skinny little body. Her face maybe chubby with a double chin but her body is super thin.

After her first bath.

Thats all of the pictures that even turned out semi good. Sorry. Her Grandma is taking a ton of pictures though.

Thank you for all of the updates, John. You are a strong man.
And Kaelyn, she's beautiful! She's probably one of the cutest babies I've ever seen!

John,
I'm still a newbie here but I've been following along with everyone here, and I wanted to express to you and all of Amber's loved ones my greatest sympathies. Wishing you my best thoughts, and I hope Kaelyn comes home with you.

Kaelyn is looking great!

For a premmie, she really is quite big!

Amber did a wonderful job of carrying her for the last 8 months

I am so glad she is doing OK and I am sure the problems will be sorted out soon. On the legal side, it would be fantastic if you can take her home from the hospital - later it could be a big plus if you can show that the hospital recognised you as the appropriate carer. It is hard to have to think about these things when you are in shock, but it has to be done. Good vibes still coming your way.

John my sympathies go out to you. I wish you the best emotionally and spiritually, and I know that all the right things will happen with Lava Girl. I'm not familiar with the whole story, but from what I read, I just know that you are that girls father. There is more to DNA than being a father and you prove that. I have no doubt that you will be the most important person in her life and everything will work out.

Take care and let me be another person to extend a hand if you ever need anything.

Well first off sorry again for your loss. If you don't mind me asking how early was the baby? I am very familiar with having a premie, my Kaela was one. Born 3 months early and only weighed a pound and a half and now she is 3 and as healthy as can be. I only type this in hopes that it will ease your mind a little. Your whole situtation is just heartbreaking. And I wish you all the best. The docs told me when I my daughter was born that girls are tougher and she certainly proved them right. Again, you're in my prayers.
