Bless you, for doing your best to care for dear, beautiful Nakita, and being selfless when the time came to let her go. You gave her a loving home, full of joy, and I thank you for sharing her with us.

Kass, Nakita meant so much to all of us. Each and every one of us is feeling your loss right now. We are all going to miss your Emerald girl so much. I hoped so much that it would not have come to this. I am so sorry that you had to make this decision, but hope that you are able to make peace with it. You did EVERYTHING you could have done, Kass. You showed Nakita so much love and happiness during her time with you and I know that she is with you right now wanting you to remember those times.

You did everything you possibly could for your sweet Emerald Girl, and capped it off with the most loving thing of all -- letting her go in peace and dignity. My heart and thoughts are with you and Rob as you say your goodbyes and lay her to rest in her favourite place -- and will continue to be, as you try to come to grips with your loss. Be gentle with yourselves. Your girl had the best life and lots of love and will be watching over you both.

I was so shocked and saddened to see this. I can't believe it. Nakita was just not on this earth long enough. There are just some things that we just can't understand. This thread is a tribute to Nakita, but more importantly to you and Rob. You can see that even though we might not have met you or your Nakita, each one of us is feeling your loss because your love for her was so apparent in each of your posts. I can't take away the pain, but I will pray that your hearts will heal quickly.
