Icky skin problem - what is it?

Shadow (the senior cat of our household) has a nickel-sized bald patch on her inner thigh. There are several raised bumps, larger than grains of rice. Some just look like bumps under the skin, but others are bright red (perhaps she licked them raw?). Does this sound familiar to anyone??

The absolute best thing for Shadow would be to see a vet. Even if we can (I don't know what it is) give you some ideas about what it could be, you would almost certainly need to take Shadow to a vet for treatment.

I will say, it is a good idea to isolate Shadow from the other cats until you find out what it is.
