She is the one TCS doesn't hear about very often, she's the quiet, reserved, reclusive one. Blondie Rumpleteaser is perfectly content sitting in her window watching the birds, or cuddling with some of the other cats 1 or 1, but she doesn't like crowds. But, when she is hungry, or thinks that her brushing is overdue, she will talk loud and long with a shrill little voice....
And when I lie down to sleep, she comes bounding onto the bed to dive under the covers and sleep rolled up underneath my arm
3 years ago today, a co-worker called me from his cattle farm. He had found a kitten on his farm, cold and starving, trying to chew pieces off a feed block made for cows. He split a sandwich with her and called me. Because little Nauti had passed away only about a week before, I wasn't really feeling like taking another cat. But, his county has no animal shelter, and ours won't take out of county intakes, so I told him that I'd take the kitten to the shelter for him.
Somehow, during the 80 mile round trip, Blondie Rumpleteaser ended up with a vet appointment and a name. We never went to the shelter
...and that is how Blondie Rumpleteaser came to join the Jellicle Tribe, 3 years ago today...
