Please dont feel bad - I have always let my cats out and lost 3 over the years, 1 to a RTA, and 2 just didnt come back - I like to think they found another home.
Whilst its heart-breaking and very sad, it never made me change my mind about letting my kit-crew out.

Heres sending lots of come home {{{{{vibes}}}}} to all the kitties

A big
for you !

Keep us posted

If you need help transitioning your kitties into indoor only kitties once you find them, there are some wonderful threads on this topic throughout TCS. Good luck
I hope that you find them soon!

Thank you all SO very much for your kind, caring words. I am still at a LOSS at to whats going on. I have questioned all the neighbors and they all know nothing. I did talk to a lady that had a bunch of strays she was feeding, and she said they have all "vanished" as well.
I like to think they found new homes-but in all honesty they probly havent. I am just so sick over this.
Once again-thanks to all for your kind words.

This is sad!! It's terrible this is happening....

And StarryEyedTiger is right: there are some wonderful ideas here on how to transition your cats from being indoor/outdoor to indoor only, and that way, this can never happen again!

I wonder if a TNR group trapped a bunch of kitties. Could you call the local shelters and see if your kitties showed up there? And is this all your kitties who are gone?!? I know it is bad either way to lose even one, but to have no kitties is such a very lonely thing...

No. I can about guarantee theres no trapping going on here.
I am almost betting it is a predator or something. Right now I am down to 5 cats(one new kitty-thats never gonna see the light of day!!) I wont ever not have a house without any cat(s). BTW-over about a 3 month span this summer I lost 3 cats, and now within 2 weeks 3 more are gone.
The remaining cats I have are: Chloe, Lilly,Freddie, Lucky, and then the kitty, thats still namless.

I'm so sorry about your cats. As suggested do check the shelters. A few years ago I had two cats escape through a slit in my screen I didn't know about. After asking around I was shocked to find that a neighbor had trapped them and turned them over to Animal Control. Some strays had been spraying under his window and he was tired of it so decided to catch them. He had no idea they were mine since they never went outside. Same thing recently happened to a friend. A cat hater trapped her cat and called Animal Control. She had been looking for days and never thought to call them until I convinced her to. Good luck, I do hope you find them.

I'm so sorry, I really hope this mystery is solved soon and you can get your kitties back.

Can you keep all the others in for now?

I too have indoor/outdoor cats and several of them "disappeared" over the years-found out the reason (neighbor shooting). That has since stopped but with that many in the area gone I would be wondering whats going on.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this.

You and your cats - and the local stray/feral population - are all in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear your babies have dissappeared. I agree that there is probably a new dog, person trapping them in thier yard, or maybe coyotes?? I am not sure what you have around there. Have u checked the shelters, in case someone is trapping them and sending them in?? All my cats are in/out, and where I am at, losses can be high if a cat wants to wander far. But I have had bad kitties come home after a month, so don't give up yet......I really hope they are just vacationing at a neighbors.. Good luck getting them home.

This is day 4 and still no Sherman
I have asked around to just about all the neighbors and noone seems to know anything about him, or the others. And sadly enough-we dont have any shelters in this town! The nearest one is about 15 miles away and they wouldnt take cats there......I just really dunno what happened.
I am guessing either coyotes or bobcats possibly, or someone is lying and they are "disposing" of them and just lying to me.

It just seems to me like there are too many cats vanishing for it to be predators.

I mean, cats are pretty hardy creatures so for a whole feral colony and three owned cats (and I am betting they are the only ones) to have gone missing suggests human interference to me.

I would ring the shelter even if it is 15 miles away to check and see if they know anything about it or of any tnr groups in the area.

Have you put up missing posters? (taken my pages so long to load that I have forgotten whether or not you mentioned it in you OP!)

If nothing else, they might make a cat-hater reconsider harming cats if they know that some at least are beloved family pets.
