Question about being spotlight of the week

I saw a thread about someone being spotlight of the week.

what is it for?
how do you get it?

Also if you are spotlight of the week do you get A PM?


Sorry about all the questions I was just curious

From what I understand you are elected to be the spotlight person by the former spot light person.
You are asked questions, just so other members can get to know you better.Some are funny,some personal.You just answer as honetly as you want to.

That is how it works. Wihoever is the current "Member Spotlight of the Week" will select the next one, and contact them regarding it. But I guess you can "surprise" someone and pick them without checking first....

I got to be spotlight of the week by asking a similar question.

Old thread, but I'm the current SOTW and I don't want to screw up my turn to give someone else their shot

Is there a particular day that the thread has to be posted once someone is picked, or is it 7 days from the last, or seeing as mine was done today (wed) could I post one on monday? (after all it's a different week).

I'm sure it's not rocket science, but I'm just checking

Nope, you get 7 days of torture!

Select someone next weekend, PM them to make sure they want to and can do it (unlike Bruce who just threw you to the wolves) and then on late Tuesday nite/early Wednesday morning, start the new thread!

I actually think it being a surprise is neat. No fake precanned answers then!

i still think there was some rule about you had to be female, hehe
anyway it was kinda fun

I always enjoy reading them, but usually can't think of anything to ask. I'm not a nosy person, I guess. When I first got here, I thought it was only for long-term members that did were special for some reason.

*hint* By the way, I only have class two days a week this semester... I'm going to be bored!
