I have to ask though, is Jamie's behavior...normal? To be generally interested and friendly to a cat he's never met? I mean, he's a sweetheart, but he's the one I expected aggression from since he's an adult. He just seems confused by the kitten's behavior.

@LykaKitty ah, thank you. I will do that ^.^ that was originally my plan, to do it the way you said. I was just afraid that this bad start would complicate things.

Should I just continue my plans to gradually bond them despite the rocky introduction?

OK, so a bought a new kitten. He's male, and about 3-4 months old. I have an adult cat, Jamie. He is 2 years old. The introduction did not go progressively as I wanted to do. My mom was impatient and rushed it The cats were put into the same room nearly an hour after the new kitten got home...

@talkingpeanut oh yes, absolutely. Jamie might not mind being in the bathroom. He sleeps in there on occasion anyways, heh.
