Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I searched for cancer symptoms and Spot (my cat) doesn't show any of those other signs so I'm skeptical... I do see that this can be a sign in human children though, when I searched on google, except the eye color has to be white-ish.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. I thought it over and it just sounded like the right thing to do regardless if it was a worm or not. Your advice helped solidify the decision. 

So just as an update, I took Spot to the vet and he did, indeed, have roundworms. He was given a medication for it and I'll have to repeat it within 2 weeks to make sure it's all gone. He's doing fine right now, so thanks for the advice. :) 

Hmm, I guess it is a phase like thing for kittens. I do clean out Spot's waste as quickly as I can, usually right after. Now that I think about it, he does go into the litter box after I clean it out. I guess it's a common behavior. I'll just have to wait and see if he grows out of this habit...
