    Problems eating togetehr

Hi, thanks for the reply. I looked into those feeders with the microchip collar but both my cats are collar free.  Personally I think collars would look so cute on them but they dont agree and will find a way to wiggle out of them. I will try looking into interactive feeder for cats.  I...

    Problems eating togetehr

Decided to try posting here because you were all so helpful with me introducing my two kitties to one another. It has been a year sense we brought home our newest cat Marble.  Gypsy was the resident cat.  Though they had their hissy fits in the beginning they never fought.  Now they play, hang...

What do you think about this

Do your cats have high places to perch away from the dog in the common areas of the house?  I would suggest a really high cat tree that both can be on without crowding one another or install some cat shelves.  That way they can join the family but feel comfortable the dog will leave them alone.

My new cat is bullying my other cats

Just going to touch a bit on the stealing food thing Some cats dont like eating around others, or seeing other cats near them while eatign dinner.  It's a territory thing I guess.  They are nervous another cat will steal their food. I have one fast eater.  Sometimes she would eat so fast otu...

Help. Cats still aren't getting along

Correct me if I'm misunderstand but it sounds like almost all attacks happen downstairs? Should we explore that specific area a little more?

Someone taking off my cat collar

Our cats are indoor only.  In case they do get out they have collars. Their collars say "I AM LOST" so if someone find them they know the cat is not suppose to be outside. Maybe instead of a note you could make a new tag, which would stay on all the time. Put "Owner: Your name" and a phone...

    Help with my adorable monster!

Sorry I didnt read through all the posts so didnt know if this was mentioned.   This is in regards to face cleaning. I have been lucky enough to not have to clean my cats face, But I do give kisses and light "boops" on the nose.  This is actually something that worked with my dog who I have...

    Halo's Spot Chicken Stew

Thats surprising. When we got our second cat from another shelter then the first they were being fed Halo's Spot Chicken Stew (Gluten free version, Yeah Theres a difference because I accidently got the one that didnt say gluten free once..). We noticed it was healthier than the food from the...

    Meowing Around the House

Maybe try some different kind of cat scratching surfaces. There are cat poles that have rope or carpet.  Maybe he's like the carpet cat (our cats love that too). There are also ones in the shape of a triangle so the cat reaches out and stretches low rather than standing up. Maybe he perfers...

    A second cat!

So I understand your under a time crunch of keeping or giving Calli back.  Maybe we can find a middle ground. You dont need to rush the intros as in letting them be together by 3 weeks but you can get a pretty good estimate to how they will get along at certain stages before them. If they are...

    Two cats hating each other

As far as carpet tearing under the door you can place a plastic mat, like a shower mat or a large mat for bog dogs water bowls. That only fixes your door problem though. I dont really know how t deal with a cat that really hates other chats that much.  I hope your able to find a solution that...

    Need good advice fast please

Not sure if it's already been said but a blanket/towel worked really well for me on my introductions. Thankfully the cats have never gone full blown fur flying.  They would hiss, swat, and growl and that is when I would use a towel between them or throw a blanket over one. And yes it sounds...

Cat introduction is becoming impossible when the cats won't let me follow the steps. What should I d

Unfortunately these things seem to take time .Mine took 2 months and most posts I read seem to be awhile. As for your carpet and door, one of my cats also scratches the heck out of this.  She started doing it during introductions (and now does it whenever a door is closed).  We bought a plastic...

I have a genius for a cat - name me your best toys

My cats love wine corks.  The real kind. They also like pipe cleaners.  I wrap them around my finger to make them springy, but I dont live the with this toy sense there is a wire in it. Also make sure to twist end in a little so it's not sharp.

Eating less or just stopped growing?

Hi Everyone.  Not sure if I'm being overly worried but thought I might post here for some insight. I have a female cat a little over 1 year named Marble. Weighs a little less than 9 pounds. She is very talkative and playful.  Infact very night she cries and runs to her toybox demanding play...

    Stressed 10 month old kitten

I'd look into getting some wand toys.  Lasers are nice, I have one too, but I find they dont satisfy my cats well.   Either my kitties get bored when they realize they cant catch it.  Or they meow in frustration when I put it away because they are looking for it.  If I do bring out the laser I...

No luck trimming the right paw

Have you tried trimming him while he is asleep?  Dont spook him but wait till hes in his sleepy mood, gently talk to him to let him know your there and move in to trim.  Thats how I do my cats nails. Also I never try to force more then the cat wants.  If after one paw they keep pulling away I...

    I feel like I made a mistake

If the milk jug rings dont work you can try cutting up a paper towel/toil paper roll into rings.  One of my cats is a picky toy kitty but she loves thoughs

    Did we betray her?

Cats are pretty territorial,  The biggest thing I hear a cat will fight over is food.   If the other cats gets treats your cat might be thinking "hey thats mine!  I need to fight to protect my food!"  I agree that giving treats at the same time might help her calm down and realize it's not all...
