Removing Urine Smell After Cat Confinement

Hi all, My cat was confined to one, tiled bathroom for two weeks post-PU surgery. We have him in there with a box and removed all the towels, rug, etc. I still feel the the bathroom smells like cat urine. Any tips for really getting the scent out?

Male Cat Urinary Block - Recovery

Hi - just wondering what happened to your act? I'm going through the same thing with mine right now. We had him in the hospital and he reobstructed as soon as we got home - we're trying one more time but if it doesn't work we're going to relinquish him as we don't want to pay for the surgery...

Cat W Urinary Obstruction Re-obstructed Immediately After Coming Home.

Hi all, I'm looking for advice/input from anyone who has gone through a similar situation. Our 2.5 year old male cat just spent two nights in the hospital due to urinary obstruction. The vet said that it was a pretty severe obstruction and difficult to remove but luckily his kidney values and...

    Letting Indoor Cats Outside

Hi all, I wanted to get some feedback from experienced cat owners. We have two indoor cats that are both two years old. We adopted them as 8-10 week old kittens so they've spent all their lives indoors. We live in an apartment and they have access to our balcony so they spend time out there...

Stray kitten in home with healthy resident cats

Hi everyone, My husband found a stray kitten on a freeway on ramp yesterday. The kitten was obviously sick (one of its eyes was crusted shut and the other had a lot of discharge) and there didn't appear to be any mother in sight so he took it with him. We brought it to our nearest shelter and...

Sometimes it seems like 7 month old cat doesn't realize she's pooping. Help!

Thanks. We did take her to the vet and she checked out fine health wise although the vet said to try giving her a bit of Metamucil so we are doing that and hopefully it will resolve the problem!

Random poop outside of box? Very strange!

That happens with one of my cats. I think sometimes she just doesn't realize she still has some to go and also may be very slightly constipated. Other than that she also has no major health issues, we recently took her to the vet since we were finding small random pieces every few days and she...

Sometimes it seems like 7 month old cat doesn't realize she's pooping. Help!

She doesn't get in to the pooping stance when she's not in the box. It will start to come out without her being in the stance and when this happens and she's not in the box she'll immediately start scooting on the floor to get rid of it. Sometimes she'll go finish up in one of the boxes later...

Sometimes it seems like 7 month old cat doesn't realize she's pooping. Help!

So I've seen it happen now a couple of times and they definitely are not cling ons. She has an accident a few times a week now where she'll go outside the litter box. Usually she'll drop small pieces and then later go to the litter box so I know it's not an issue with the box or the litter...

Are these cats playing or what?

This is exactly how my two play (female and male) and I always worry they are too rough so it's good to see that others consider this play as well!! My female cat is the crybaby so she gets vocal at times but only when he starts it. It's all fair game when she's the initiator!

Sometimes it seems like 7 month old cat doesn't realize she's pooping. Help!

These definitely aren't cling ons. They are the small pellet like pieces. I think she may be constipated even though she goes everyday. The cats are fed mostly wet food but I'll start adding pumpkin to hers again.

    Second kitten debate

I adopted one kitten at 10 weeks old and when she was about four months old we adopted another ten week old kitten (male). It was definitely tough in the beginning, they didn't hit it off immediately and for a good couple of months we wondered if we should have stuck to one. We also found that...

Sometimes it seems like 7 month old cat doesn't realize she's pooping. Help!

Hi all - back again with another yet health question! These cats are keeping us busy! Our seven month old cat keeps having poop related accidents - she will frequently drop a small piece on her way in to or out of the litter box but on a couple of occasions we've found them further away from...

    Show me your eyes

@Norachan, your cats are lovely! Gin kun does look like Pia! Is he a DSH? Pia is a DSH and I've been trying to figure out what her background could be. She looks really similar to some Bengal/tabby mixes I saw at another rescue and is very athletic and active.

Here's a couple of mine, I really love my grey cat's eyes. Her eye color was one of the first things we noticed! Oliver (orange) and Pia (grey) enjoying the breeze this morning: One of just Pia hanging out on the cat tree:
