I have a Ragdoll whose loose stool we are still working through. For me, I dampen a paper towel and use kitten shampoo to wash the hair with poop stuck to it - just make sure you throughly wash it out again :)

I only started her on a quarter of a teaspoon twice a day, but am upping it to a teaspoon and will give it a few more days to see Yep, did a PCR test to see what was wrong, and that's how the bacteria was discovered I am almost thinking that I am just never going to get this sorted for her :(

Thanks for that msgreenjeans, I haven't seen that article about the fibre! Yes, she underwent weeks of Flagyl and Tylan - the only time her stool changed was when I put her on Royal Canin kitten (which has 2.2% fibre, I just checked). I give her half a capsule of s bourladii morning and night...

Because she never did 'fine' with me - I made sure I asked and got the same food the breeder had, and Willow's poops were very loose. Don't want to say that the breeder lied, but I honestly don't see how she was ever 'fine'

Did you transition the food change slowly? Does your cat get wormed? Could be due to sudden change in food, or parasite

It could take a week to see results, for some it's a few days. Recommend a month of treatment though - it just really depends on how kitty responds

Poor little guy, what a cutie! Just stepping in to agree with the recommendation of S Boulardii - I have been giving it to my cat to help manage her chronic loose stool. I get the Jarrow brand with MOS which, as stated above, is apparently very bitter, and cats hate it.......but my cat LOVES...
