My other cat Stardust got pregnant around the same age. I adopted her and her daughter.
I honestly justvdidnt expect this with Whisper. It's one thing to hear about it. It's another to actually see it in a kitten you just adopted.
Yes they did. There's a place around here thst will do it. They are very reasonable and safe, So I was going to use them.
We'll see. I'm keeping an eye on Whisper.
Hi.
I just got back from the vet. The vet seemed to think there was a possibility that my kitten Whisper may be pregnant. An ultrasound was conducted, and we didn't see anything in that scan that indicated she was pregnant.
It is more that she's round and her nipples might be a little swolen...
I gave her the stim tonight. She seems okay. I waited to give her the treats, and she hasn't thrown up. She ate some treats and then a little wet food.
Her appetite is sort of on the same schedule as her mother. I'm not going to force the food, but we're both doing okay. We'll see.
She doesn't take an anti nausea drug, no. I'll ask the vet on Monday. She only takes the stimulant every three days. I'll ask the Vet on Monday. I also wonder about the possibility of a daily stimulant too.
Thanks for replying. I'm going to look into a transdermal one. She has a vet appointment on Monday. I always want her to be eating more. I want her to gain weight. She's got an appetite. Often, I'll put wet food down and she'll eat some and wander off. If I give her a few minutes, pick up...
Hi,
My cat Echo is on an appetite stimulant (mirtaz). Twice now (she gets it every threel days) after the appetite stimulant she has vomited.
She gets a stimulant after her fluid treatment, and that's when she gets the appetite stimulant. After her fluid treatment she always gets a little...
No antacids or anti emetics. She's not throwing up or showing signs of nausea.
I just got back from work. It looks like she ate her food with the binder this morning, but I just put a plate of mixed regular and kidney food down mixed with the binder. She didn't touch it.
I'm giving her the...
The vet said she is "slightly anemic", but her levels are livable. She's starting a phosphorus binder today. We justwant to give Echo a good life. The numbers are bad for her blood work, but her behavior and attitude are healthy and happy. The vet said that the blood work only tells part of the...
Hi Donutte,
Thanks for replying. It was pretty sudden. She's an indoor cat in a condo. There is no way she got out. i don't see any cleaning products or toxins in here that she could have consumed. Her mother Stardust is with me too, and she's fine, so . . . I can't 100% say for sure that...
I'll double check, but I got the very clear impression that it was chronic. I think she was just born with poor kidneys "Chronic" was thrown around a lot. I don't know the exact breed, but she's medium-hair and all black. We've got her on a phosphate binder now as well. I have to start...
Hi,
My 22-month-old cat Echo came back from the vet about a week ago. She's on daily IV treatments and an appetite stimulant. Her attitude and behavior are fine; she's very happy. She plays with her mother Stardust, and they clean each other. Her overall quality of life right now is pretty...
I'm just asking here, but this is the time to start? Right now? This is the first close of the first full day she's been home, and the focus is just on getting her to eat.
Do the standard "segue/transition" rules and timelines apply?
Can you please explain what a binder is and how it works? I just checked out that chart. It seems very helpful with the low pos/high protein breakdown.
