Thank you - that’s a wonderful idea. I provided the sitter with emergency contact information and where to take them if anything were to happen. I put down the emergency vet in the case that my cat shows signs of reblockage they are open 24/7.

Definitely. I will have more peace of mind that they are in the comfort of our home. I had a prior vet that I used that was great yet very expensive and further away from where I live which is why I found a new one that was closer yet clearly I need to return to the one I had before.

Thank you! Understandable why you did that for sure. My vet recommended I do not board them while I’m away since that could potentially just cause more stress. I found a cat sitter who is going to check in on them once a day so that will definitely give me piece of mind.

I would suggest wrapping her in a blanket like a burrito so her paws are covered and it’s easier to have control.

My cat is on medication currently and I completely understand the challenge with a pill. I took some of his favorite wet food and put the pill in the center of a piece and rolled it into a ball so that the pill was completely covered and he couldn’t see it. It has been working very well.
