This is me.
I just introduced my 2 cats (kittens at the time) right away, this was on a Friday night. There was some hissing and growling, but by Sunday night, they were fine. I consider myself very lucky to have 2 cats with good personalities.
Well, after about 4 days of having the food raised off the floor, I've yet to have another incident. So at this point, I'm willing to say that it was that Dakota was eating too fast. I still plan on switching foods from Dad's to something else.
Thanks again for everyone's help and advice.
I'll start incorporating different food in with the Dad's until they're completely switched over. Any suggestions? All 3 cats we have are adult, one is like 3-4 years, and then my 2 are both just over 2 years old.
As for a feeding schedule...I try to keep it as consistent as possible. I...
Thanks for the response.
The only thing about switching back is that her old food was Iams kitten food and now that she's just over 2 years old, not sure if that's the right thing to do. I could switch over to Iam's adult food, I'd have no problems with that as I've read on here in the past...
My cat Dakota seems to be having this same issue. Some times is mostly liquid with bits of food, sometimes it looks to be undigested food.
This seems to be an off and on thing. It'll happen one day, then she'll be fine for a couple weeks, then she'll string a day or 2 together where this...
Well, I've had my cats locked up for the last 3 days and my roommate caught her trying to pull one of her pullovers off a chair to pee on it. So I think that eliminates my cats as a catalyst for the peeing. So I'm inclined to think that at one point, her cat Twiggy had an UTI that cleared...
Hey guys
Dakota, Montana and I moved in with a friend of mine into her condo where she has a 4 year old Russian Blue named Twiggy. Now, Montana and Twiggy have never really gotten along, they don't fight, but my roommate and I know they are still trying to figure out the Alpha spot...
My 2 girls have pretty much stopped and they both just turned 1 year old.
They only attack my feet if I really, really tease them with them. I try not to encourage bad behavior.
Instead, they've taken to giving cat massages (kneeding my back), curling up in a kitte ball, and head butting me.
Well, like I said. aside from certain items, I don't mind, I think it's funny. It was more for the sake of my roommate.
I'll just tell her to lock stuff up where the little bugger can't get to them.
Thanks ladies.
Montana here...
(refresher picture)
has turned into quite the kleptomaniac. The girls (Dakota & Montana) and I moved about a month ago into my friends condo, call it a cost cuting move. Anyway, my roommates possessions have been ending up in my bed. It's nothing major, sort of...pens...
All this time I've been coating door jams and wires in bitter apple, only to learn that Montana loves the taste of bitter apple. Only 5 minutes ago did I re-apply it to a couple door jams after she removed the rubber stoppers and she's licking and chewing on the one by the front door.
For...
Well, went to the vet. Definitely in heat. My vet suggested that I talk to the shelter to see if maybe I can get another spay down cheaper than at her office. Also, Dakota is running a bit of a fever. So I've got meds for that. If I do go with getting her spayed again, I have to wait for...
When I adopted Dakota, she was 6 months old and had already been fixed. The shelter I adopted from will not allow cats or kittens to be adopted out until they've been S/N.
That brings me to the next potential issue. The same group that did Dakota's fixin', did Montana's fixin'. I'm...
Sorry to resurect this thread, but I think Dakota is going through the same thing. Right now she's quiet, but it's only been like 5 minutes.
The last several days she's been extremely vocal, the most since I brought her home in November (So much for being quiet). It's not a meow, it's...
I guess I was lucky then. I have a 1 bedroom apartment, the whole apartment itself is 800 sq. ft. I originally adopted 2 cats, but could only bring 1 home due to the other having a couple health problems. Once those cleared up, I brought the 2nd one home. I didn't get all creative with baby...
I just traded in my 2000 Toyota Celica for a 2005 Scion tC.
I don't have any pics of the new car, but here's some pictures of the old one...

Well, here they are...finally....
Here's a recent picture of Dakota...
And a picture of Montana...
And a picture of her on her favorite blanket...
And here's a couple pictures of them getting along...
And this occurred this morning after I was sorting clothes for laundry...the...
I'm failing to see how this kind of response helps the original poster. I see what you're saying, but that does nothing to help Black kitties' situation.
