Yeah I do thanks. And I guess because they are unsure of her diagnosis FIP is one of those things that come up - since it too can be difficult to diagnose. I wish they never mentioned it. And then I never googled it. Lol.
Thanks so much. I guess FIP was just a differential but since it's been mentioned I can't stop thinking about it. She certainly doesn't seem too unwell at the moment. Thankyou for putting things into perspective for me.
Hi everyone,
I'll just start by saying I am in regular contact with several vets about all of these issues.
My cat's background is that she has a heart condition - a ventricular septal defect which was initially diagnosed as being very large at 4 months. Now at 2 yrs 8 months, we recently...
There may be an avenue where you live to report these breeders. Did you find them through friends, internet? Were they supposed to give you papers? Even the best bred cats can develop a congenital heart condition at a young age but its a common problem re breeding lines.
No idea regarding the breed but I just want to say what beautiful cats have been posted here. I just want to tickle them under their chins and touch their beautiful manes! Little lions!
Sorry a correction I see that they can have some white colouring!
The other thing to note is that most pure breds are often sold neutered and most breeders will take a kitten back if there are issues. So it is unlikely for a Mau to be a stray but definitely not out of the question. With all...
I think she is very unlikely to be a pure bred EM. I don't believe they usually have white colouring anywhere and they are a fairly rare well protected breed. So your cat would be described as a brown mackerel short hair tabby. She does however have particularly beautiful tabby markings which...
In regards to the ringworm - all humans and animals in contact should be treated. Wash everything that may contain the fungus, especially moist things like towels, face washers, clothes etc.
For humans, best to start on a antifungal cream. Ask your pharmacist for the most effective one for...
Evrn though he is little, there is still lots that can be done! Its just that young kittens are so fragile and you must work quickly. Some vets are not great with young kittems but they can provide life saving treatment we don't have access to. Intravenous fluids, oxygen, medications etc. Don't...
Most cats are lactose imtolerant and this could very well cause an upset stomach. You can get some KMR (milk specifically for kittens) from the store and feed him that instead. You can also water down his wet food or mix it with the KMR seeing as he is still quite young, if that helps with his...
