A few years back I got a call from someone claiming to be from the Canadian IRS saying that I owe money. Problem is I live in the Southern U.S., and the furthest north I have been is St Louis Missouri. What's scary is the scammer had spoofed the Canadian IRS's number.
I've got numerous ones...
Thanks so much for helping!
Unless I know the person well, and know how they take care of their pets, such as getting them spayed or neutered. I'll be getting her spayed before handing her over to anyone. The very last thing I need is someone getting her and allowing her to have kittens, some...
O'Malley Alley Cats no longer rescues, they only do TNR now. Wendy's Misfits is willing to help with spaying and worming but cannot take her. Nac Foster Rescue is the one I asked to do a courtesy listing and they couldn't do that, the head of it did post her on her personal wall though. I've...
I'm located in E. Texas, I contacted the local rescue group in my town just asking for a courtesy listing for her but the lady who runs the rescue couldn't do it. She did put Dora on her FB wall but no luck there. I've also been in touch with a couple other groups in outlying towns, explaining...
I didn't purposely set out to get a kitten. I didn't want a kitten. I cannot afford 2 pets. I knew that my dog would not like a kitten. Yet here I am with a kitten. She and her family had been living under cars, with the kittens getting up into the undercarriage and engine compartment of...
The only thing that I can figure is that they are either trying to save the food for later, or they are trying to cover it up so it doesn't attract other predators.
I'll research more into different brands if I have to keep her as a long term foster. Right now I've spent over $400 on animals this month, between my dog, the first kitten I rescued, and not Dora, I'm doing good just to get her what I've got her!
I don't know if the shelter works on socialization or not, but I doubt it. Last I heard they had adopted the kitten out, and if that's true then they simply put him in a cage and let him go. Hopefully he was like the one I got and not too bad to tame.
I have 2 places that I can take her to to...
I know it's not the best, but right about now it's the best I can afford. I'm not planning on keeping her and didn't plan on getting a cat. I couldn't leave her out in that bush to maybe die from her horrid habit of hiding in the undercarriage and engine compartment of cars, so I ended up with...
Thanks y'all! I didn't read the front of the can all that closely except to make sure it was the pate', I know better then to feed the other type because of the carb content, and I looked on the back of the can for feeding instructions but didn't see anything specifically for kittens so figured...
I found an approximately 8 to 12 week old kitten on Friday and since I had some Friskies Pate' from a few months back when I was feeding a stray cat till I could get it rescued that's what I fed her. I've been feeding her that brand since then but am unsure if a kitten will be O.K. eating it...
I ended up calling my vet about how much she's peeing, he says it may be behavioral or it may be the beginning of a UTI. He said to give it a few days and see if it clears up if not I can drop her off there and he'll check her out.
I put up the baby gate across the bathroom door so that she...
I'm glad that they are checking him for the UTI, it really sounds like that is the case!
Don't feel bad about keeping him in the bathroom temporarily! I'm currently housing the feral kitten that I found in my bathroom. I have a dog that can be a bit of a brat about sharing his apartment and...
I rescued a feral kitten on Friday. Her mom and sibling had been living under the cars in the parking lot, and the kittens getting up into the panel under the car's floor board and into the engine compartment. I know of at least 2x the kittens went on a road trip, as a little over 2 weeks ago...
I think part of the problem with letting a feral cat population get to maximum capacity, meaning all the cats that can potentially survive on the available food sources are present, is that sickness and disease often starts to take hold. The animals are no longer healthy, I've seen studies on...
Have you tried covering the plants dirt with black fish tank gravel? That's what I did with my indoor plant, it doesn't harm the plant, lets the water through, and should keep your boy from getting to the potting soil and getting dirty.
I found these instructions for bathing a cat....
How To...
If you are seeing dead fleas that's a good sign, it means that the Advantage is working.
Treat the cat with a topical flea killer (you already did that)
Buy some flea powder or FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth (DO NOT get pool grade) and sprinkle it on your furniture, floors, and pet beds, as...
Your best bet is to try and make friends with him. Feed him, sit down and spend time talking to him while he eats, and see if he will come to you. It could take awhile for him to trust you enough to let you pet him. Once you can do that then work on trying to get him into a pet carrier and...
Ugh!!!!! I will never understand moving and leaving a pet. to slowly starve to death. I mean, they take their furniture, appliances, electronics, knick nacks, clothes, momentoes, food, photos, dust, basically every inanimate object in the house, but leave a living breathing pet that relies...
