Can I stop my kittens from pooping there?

Hello! Thanks for your advice - I absolutely soaked the area with the cleaner, plus extra as I can't get my hands on a black light, and this seeeeems to have worked - no carpet poops for two nights! I shall keep my fingers crossed.

Can I stop my kittens from pooping there?

Hello! 4 weeks ago we adopted two kittens. They are now about 13 weeks old. When we first got them, the female (Delilah) had terrible diarrhea, to the extent she had to have fluids administered by the vet. The male (Charlie) also had loose stools, but more like soft normal-poops rather than...

    New Kitten Advice, Please!

Final update - took the kittens back to their original vet that the Cats Protection had been taking them too. The vet was extremely cross at the other vet I took them too, as Delilah was extremely dehydrated - she had to have water put directly in to her stomach and under her skin. Poor baby...

    How to open kittens' mouths

Hi, guys. I just wanted to say thanks for your advice. The burrito method works a treat, although that was their favourite towel for snoozing on, now they get suspicious ;)

    How to open kittens' mouths

Thanks for the links. The problem is, we can't get the kittens to stay still! I was nearly in tears last night trying to give it them (which probably didn't help) because I'm so afraid of hurting them. One is not keen on being picked up yet as it is - we only got them on Saturday! Even when we...

    How to open kittens' mouths

The vet has given us some worming meds for our 2 kittens who are about 9-10 weeks old, and under 1kg. It's called Panacur Oral Paste, and comes in a little syringe with notches for each dose. We are to give them one dose each for three days. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I were (mostly)...

    New Kitten Advice, Please!

Just as an update - vet said both were fine and I should chill out. However, he is not convinced that his colleague guesstimated their age correctly, as they are "incredibly tiny for 11 weeks". He also said that due to their low weight, they should have been receiving worming medicine since...

    New Kitten Advice, Please!

Thanks, all! I will ring the vet in a min as they're not open yet (but are open super-late, which is a bonus!) We do have two carriers (pre-kitten preparation involved a lot of buying two of everything!), but I'll let them go in the one this time round. Hopefully I will have my worries put to...

    New Kitten Advice, Please!

Thanks for your advice. My naturally worrying nature had already lead me to the decision that I should take them to the vet tomorrow. Rather not risk it. Having said that, perhaps "lethargic" was too strong a word - she might just be more much laid back than the jumpy kitten! Do you think that...

    New Kitten Advice, Please!

Yesterday, we adopted two kittens from Cats Protection. They were born approximately in mid-May according to the centre. Right before we were due to adopt last week, one of them had a poorly tummy (runny poos) and the adoption was delayed whilst a course of meds were given. When they arrived...
