Wow it's been a long time since my last post.
So, my cat, Yue, has recently been having facial tremors, which some people identified as small seizures in this post here: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/268878/facial-tremors And yes, her's look pretty much identical to DeeJay's, combined with the...
You'll get a lot of better answers from other people here, but some cats do just fine on dry food. My dad's cat was fed groccery dry food for his entire life, and lived to be 18. I fed both my cats dry food for years, and the one never had any problem, whereas the other ended up having...
I'd love to see reviews for the following raw brands as well:
Red Dog Blue Kat: http://www.reddogdeli.com/
Primal: http://www.reddogdeli.com/
Rad Cat (which I believe is pretty brand new): http://www.radfood.com/
I know my girls love them all, but I'll admit to being a newbie with the whole...
In my experience, perscription food is pretty crummy. My vet tried to put my cats on a hypoallergenic food (turns out, they didn't actually need it, and were quite fine being switched over to a raw food diet instead), and neither of them would touch it, even after I switched brands a couple...
I'm glad you found him! I was going to say that even though he might not be the adventourous type, if he was in an unfamiliar apartment, there's a better chance he may have tried to make a break for it, which it looks like he did.
Definitely suggesting next time you have someone come by your...
When my girls got fleas, it was horrible. Like, went on for months. It sucked. We used some of the stuff from the vet.
In the end, despite how much Doll and Yue hated it, it came to frequent flea baths, tons of vacuuming (and throwing out the vacuum bag after each time), lots of...
I use Feline Fresh as well, and I really, really enjoy it. I do have a bit of problems with tracking, but I kind of assume that that'll happen with clay too, and I like to think it's a little healthier for my ladies, as there isn't all the dust and stuff. I don't notice an odour (not a piney...
I had my Doll for a year before I got Yue. Doll had been super playful, loving, etc. When I brought Yue home, Doll became distant, didn't want to cuddle with me, certainly didn't want to play with this new kitten, etc. etc.
It took a while, and I'm not sure exactly how long, but eventually...
Thanks so much, everyone! I really wasn't sure since I assumed that perscription food wouldn't be too bad, despite my instincts looking at the ingredients, but I'll definitely get some suppliments to mix in with their raw food and return the dry food once I have them. =)
Oh! I actually just bought some new raw turkey (my health pet food store just got a new brand, so I figured I'd try it out and see how they like it). It's only enough for two days, but maybe if they like it, I'll start feeding them more of it if you think it'll help. As for ingredients, I...
Yep, Doll and Yue are both on raw, and both of them will be eating the calming food. I like to give them both the same foods because I hate needing to lock one or the other up so they can eat seperately and not get into each other's dishes if they were fed differently.
The front of the bag is...
So, my cats, Doll and Yue, have decided they hate each other this summer. Feliway has barely helped, and I think they're scared of my ex-boyfriend/roommate (hiss whenever he comes near. When he's sleeping or on the couch, sometimes they'll come and cuddle, but not when he gets up or anything. ...
I have two cats, Doll and Yue. Once upon a time, I left them for four months. Both of them ended up getting quite obese under the care of the person who had sublet my apartment. I ended up switching them to a grain free dry food (Taste of the Wild).
Doll ended up losing her weight (slowly)...
So, my boyfriend just moved in with me, and we decided to get a bearded dragon together (more his. Aka, if things go sour, he gets to keep her), and we named her Regan. She is adorable.
Anyway, I used to have an old snake (I still had the tank, which is how getting a bearded dragon came...
My cat has digestive issues as well (constipation, opposite of diarrhea). I've been told that Tripe can help fix the gut as well. I was also told a lot of cats won't eat it. Both of mine do, which is awesome, but it's certainly something you could try. =)
My Yue had something like that once. The vet suggested she might be allergic to her food dish (though I can't remember if that was it or not), and then gave me medicine. Went away aright away and hasn't come back since. No matter what it is though, I suggest taking your cat to the vet to find...
Yeah. Both vets said Yue was plenty hydrated (both my cats drank a lot of water), but the first one went right to allergies. The second vet told me that dry food wasn't awesome and will dehydrate cats even if it doesn't seem like it, put her on a IV for her night that she stayed over (the...
Speaking of tabbies, is it common for them to lose their pattern as they get older? My Yue was pretty obviously a tabby when she was younger, but the more I look at her now (at the age of almost-six), the more she just looks like an orange cat with some stripes on her face and tail...
I wanted to be a vet for a brief while, and then I realized that I wouldn't be able to stomach putting down people's pets (Especially now that I'm older and I see some of the stupid reasons people put down their animals. Back then it was like "I know that it's needed, but I couldn't do it!" ...
