I have a pretty fair judgement of the percentages. I've been giving them that much liver: roughly a teaspoon. I bought a whole pig liver, but I chucked the rest to the dog because I still wasn't sure how much. I'll have to get just half next time. That stuff smelled the nastiest and I was second...
Someone advised me that small fish are okay, since they don't grow big enough to get a high mercury content. I personally prefer adding chicken to be on the safe side of the whole mercury issue. My boys love their chicken and yours might like it too.
I hope I didn't vote for the wrong one, but I searched "Cats Inc." that I got from your signature and I voted for it. It's in Sweet Home, OR?
Sorry I don't know state abbreviations too well.
Aw man that can't be right. Before I voted for Cats Inc. I saw it was 4.43% and at the 6th place. Now...
My last excuse was "construction's ongoing at our house."
I called "installing a doorknob" construction.
I am averse to cleaning up after other people's mess.
How do I know if I'm giving too much liver? And is that measurement by serving? I don't have that grams weighing scale thing for food, but I do have the generic teaspoon/tablespoon measurement things and measurements by cup. The ones sold in supermarkets as a set. Can I use that?
Also I heard...
Ever since I learned that dried cat food have a ton of wheat and stuff that's more beneficial for cows than cats I've decided to try raw feeding in the form of frankenprey to my two DSH boys Marble and Pebble.
I'm sorry if this is a little lengthy, as I'm intent on giving as much information...
Super great news!
I'm going to start a new thread chronicling their (or more accurately, my) adventures with frankenprey. It's the 2nd day today and I learned something interesting about my boys and their food. New thread's also because the attention has shifted from Marble to Pebble. Gosh...
They're super adorable! I'm glad they're doing alright so far. Mommy did a great job. You're such a trooper for not freaking out lol I would've handled that with less grace.
Bless you for taking care of her, and your willingness to take care of her babies makes you super awesome. I hope you know, everyone who took care of a litter of kittens the first time really had their hands full. But from browsing this site, apart from the very much needed, mandatory vet you'll...
Just an update on Marble:
He's doing really well on packet wet food and refuses to eat much more than a few bites of dried kibble now. I just learned that there's wet food, ready made from scraps in the market but I strongly suggested we make our own by buying 1/4 kilo of this and that so I...
They have this caramel filling, right? Looks like the caramel's sandwiched between two thin, soft waffle cookies? I loved microwaving those. They're like pop tarts except way way way better.
They're strictly marketed in the UK?
I'm reading "The Everything New Nurse Book, 2nd Edition" and "Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul." I'm trying to slow myself down with reading. I have a tendency to devour books in a matter of hours at most.
Chronicles of Narnia, the entirety, took me just 4 days. Haven't encountered a book that...
Just wanted to give my to you and Baby, catwoman707. You're super awesome for doing what you do. I'll be following the updates and praying for her fast recovery. And LDG's too.
What really got the kittens to use the litter box was seeing their momma do it. There were 5 of them once, and when they were following their mommy around the house she happened to need to use the litter box.
When they saw what she did they all lined up for using the litter box. I never had a...
