Seeking advice/stories on potential polyp or obstruction in a cat

Its been a few months - I'd like to know what you found.  I was told my 8th month old kitten probably has a nasal polyp.  The vet recommended I see a specialist if it gets worse to have a "scope" and have it removed.  I am just trying to find all the information I can.  Thanks.

Last adoption fell through but Lilly is finally getting her forever home!

Thank you for what you do! I just adopted another black cat about 4 weeks ago.  Back home in Ohio I have 4 (one passed last year - diabetes - whole other story) - but since my job has me in the DC area for almost two years - I have been catless.  Even though it was stretch to afford it, I...

Need new cat advice - hiding under bed

He, along with most cats who have slaves on this site - has more toys than he probably knows what to do with! :) He came from a local rescue group - where he had been for 3 years.  Not sure of his first year of life :(.  I didn't ask, but I assume he had been in the woman's basement/kitty...

Need new cat advice - hiding under bed

*waves* I haven't posted here in quite some time.  I find now that I need advice from my old (and new!) friends here. I have had a new cat (4 years old) for three weeks.  Most of his time is spent under the bed.  It took him 3-4 days before he ate.  And now he will come out from under the bed...

    Lightning strikes, computer dies...insurance?

Depends on the insurance, but it should up to the natural limit of your policy. Mine (state farm) is default 3,000 - we bumped it up with all the goodies we have.

    Lipstick Warning!

I agree, some of these things are just pure ridiculous. Just about everything in life is dangerous in a small way. Eating anything from a grocery store seems to be a bad thing too. Can't live in bubble - we just have to choose what is acceptle risk for each of us. This small amount in the...

Kojak my dear, that "thing" your attacking is your tail...and it is attached to you!

Salem, who is 5 years old - still is a member of the tail chasing club. Often times she will be going up the step s and see it. So she chases her tail in circles on the steps. Quite hilarious.

    Mirtazapine

My vet has given my cat Raven this medication after getting an upset stomach from Metacam - supposedly to help get her to eat. In Looking it up on the internet, it appears to be an antidepressent for humans - and I can't find information regarding cats. Has anyone had experience with this...

Raven had bladders stones removed today

Raven went back to the vet this morning - last night she started throwing up, late night and early morning it was just clear liquid with bubbles. It appears she had an adverse reaction the the new joint pain relief (Metacam) that I first gave her just yesterday morning. I had not idea that this...

Raven had bladders stones removed today

Raven is following us around as normal, appears to be going to the bathroom normally. Just a little groggy right after I give her the pain meds that was sent home with her - she will be on those for another 2-3 days. Right now she is sleeping beside me on the bed Pat, did they end up...

Raven had bladders stones removed today

I've know about this since Wednesday of last week - didn't post here, because to think and talk about it made it "real" and I didn't want to fall to peices. Last week my husband (good daddy that he is) noticed that Raven went to the potty, but only had a bit of urine come out. He called the...
