LoL! Poor upside down babies. My first litter, the 3 boys were very pronounced from day one, like your top one. The second litter, 2 pronounced, one less so. Give him a couple of days - at least! - he'll fill out! The last pic is a little blurry - but looks like a little tortie, so almost...
Don't worry too much. Cat labor can interrupt for a day or more! If Lola's comfy and the kittens are feeding well, then things are ok for now. If she was in unproductive labor for a considerable period of time, and clearly getting distressed you'need to get to the vet. Make sure the...
Oh, the hisses were funny! Poor little OllieRoger got them the worst, but then he also seemed to have the scaredy cat gene. Next to 'wire up' will be the growl! They'll each find it over someething different - a toy, a food treat, something they don't want to share. This year, the littlest...
Stewball, you appear to live in a small country that has some 2 million feral cats! Surely you could rescue some kittens through various local charities?
Only two?! Either she's tiny or whoever said that can't be right!
Does she allow you to stroke her tummy? Mine last year and this year did - and I could feel distinct babies. Last year, I felt five and there were five - and there was one in particular, the biggest (who turned out to be the...
Ah yes, the moving den shenanigans! With last year's moggy, I foolishly let her explore kitchen cupboards (I was a novice). She got into the one under the sink, pushed the back, through that, and under the darn cupboard! I was sure she was stuck, but a few minutes later, she wriggled her way...
Has she had a post-baby season yet? I noticed that my cat's milk completely dried up once the season peaked - even though the kittens would still suckle. At that point I let them start going to their new homes, two together, then the singles - over the couse of three weeks for all five. She...
I think it's still guesswork going by the mother cats' size. Mine is slightly overweight at a mere 7lb. My son and his wife have two of her year old tom-kittens, one ginger, one tux, and they are 12lb and 9lb respectively, and not overweight. At 17 weeks, they were about 6lb each.

It's our turn for the OP on Thursday. The vet said he'd put an 'Elizabethan' collar on the cat, so I've got visions of elaborate ruffles! I expect it'll be a cone. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. Still got one baby at home, my peaches & cream extra fluffy Ferdy, 10 weeks old now.

Thanks EB and Stefan.
I've had their mother since two weeks before the kittens arrived, so she's doing most of the rearing work - and I've become part of the kittens 'furniture' - the problem arises when we have visitors, and little OllieRoger disappears or goes off somewhere he thinks is out...
I have a litter of five kittens who turned six weeks on Sunday. The "middle child" (only one who's birth order I know for sure) is a little tom who will be going to a large family in a few weeks - but he is always so fearful whenever people come round! He retreats to a place where he can see...
I've given kittens 'baby names' before they get adopted.
This year, I picked on a great-grandfather who had five forenames (his parents were playing games with their last baby's names - the initials spelt out an alternative spelling for the title he was born to):
Gustav (cream), Roger (red...
Thank you, maewkaew. Since they were born, I have looked around on the web, and I did find a site describing the champagne Burmese, as well as one explaining the diluted red gene. It seems also that the colour name has been 'adopted' for the cream cats, as it turns up a lot as their...
Several hours on now, and there hasn't been any recurrence. She's eaten several times, but not demanded any of the usual supplementals (kitten food won't do for her, she dislikes it, so I normally make sure she has a bit of chicken, or tuna to up the protein, and she generally likes a treat of...
Thanks Stefan, I'll keep my eyes peeled! At the moment, she's carrying on as if it never happened, there's no sign of diarrhea, she has everything just where she likes it, babies nursing with no problems, etc. Fingers crossed it's just a 'blip'.
Kittens are eleven days old now, and growing so fast its crazy! All eyes open, rattly little purrs started up yesterday.
However, this morning, their mama threw her guts up completely (conveniently in a place easy to clean). She has since eaten, and seems no worse for wear, but what should I...
