Ok I'm asking for a friend as I am puzzled too.   Her cat recently had dental surgery.  The cat is a senior with kidney disease and anemia.  My friend is wondering why the vet didn't give her an iron shot.  The vet also told her "we don't treat anemia" here. ??????
