recommend a good quality/tasty canned food?

I'm so happy to hear that! Please post an update to how they are doing on the new food- I am really interested to find if anybody else notices a dramatic difference after the switch (it takes a few weeks though). This is for a friend that needs more "evidence" in favor of super premium foods...

recommend a good quality/tasty canned food?

Edited to say : "Great great choice!!" "Could all those veggies cause diarrhea?" No, these foods are really balanced to provide the best nutrition for cats. My boys eat nothing but Innova canned+ dry. Occasionally, I give them a can of Wellness (just for a change, but Wellness is more...

recommend a good quality/tasty canned food?

"My vet says feed only dry food, because wet food can adhere to the teeth increasing plaque/tarter." Actually that's not true. Tartar build-up is as likely to appear with wet foods as well as dry, as it is more of a question of the cat's internal chemistry. Feeding wet food might prove...

    Newbie with food prob!

Hi, I am not an expert, but my first guess would be that she has worms. However you took her to the vet, and he probably ruled it out. My 0.02 would be to give her as much food as she wants, you don't want to limit access to food while she's growing. Wet foods in my limited experience are very...

Help! Kitten vomited for the first time

I remembered something else: how can you tell if he has hairballs? Do you actually see them? All I saw was food, including two whole bits of ScDiet... I guess he doesn't chew much...

Help! Kitten vomited for the first time

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! When I introduced Innova, I mixed 1/4 new+3/4 old; and the Nutro Max just the same- half tiny can mixed with his old wet food. He got the wet mix yesterday, too, and he was OK with it- no vomiting until tonight... I will definitely keep an eye on him.

Help! Kitten vomited for the first time

OK, now I really freaked out. Felix has vomited for the first time, and it may be bc of the wet food (recently introduced Nutro Max). I thought he would be OK though, since he didn't mind having ScDiet+IAMS before... Do you think it could be something more serious? He didn't seem to want to eat...

    authority..?

If you want to compare Authority to other brands there is a cool website at Petsmart: http://www.petsmart.com/pfc/foodcalc...s&animaltype=2 IMO, if you compare the brands they offer for comparison, Authority is not that good. Their first ingredient is "chicken meal", which is not really the same...

    authority..?

I wanted to try it for my kitten, but unfortunately they have only adult formulas. I have heard a lot about this brand... only good things!

    Kitty Litter

What do you mean by that, Sicycat? Is Sweat Scoop really not so expensive? And yes, it sometimes can stick to the bottom, but if you use a thick enough layer of it (4 in) it really doesn't. I haven't tried the crystals, though.

    Kitty Litter

I use Swheat Scoop - a brand of wheat litter, and it is great! My cat loves it, and so do I. It absorbs odors very, very well, and it is clumping. Best of all, no dust, and it is flushable as well! Drawback: expensive (11$ for a 25 pound bag), but we have only one cat, so it's affordable so far...

    Eukanuba kitten food?

Hi guys, Sorry for not replying earlier. The reason I said I would switch him to something else was that I found the IAMS animal testing story on the web as I was looking for info. However, two days after that, I found out that their policy changed (so they say); I hope it's true, because...

    Eukanuba kitten food?

OK, never mind, I figured it out. I am sorry I didn't do enough research before asking. I'll switch him gradually to something else (authority sounds good). Thanks all!

    Eukanuba kitten food?

Thank you all for your replies! So is the Eukanuba brand (IAMS company) a "bad" commercial brand for cats as well? The reason I am asking is that I have a big bag of it, that we first bought, and I expect that to last for at least one month.

    Eukanuba kitten food?

Hi! I am a proud new mommy to Felix, 13 weeks old (yay!) I have several questions for you all. I feed him Eukanuba chicken and rice formula (dry), with vitamin E. I also plan to treat him with wet food once or twice a week. What should i use for the wet food? I bought a few cans of the IAMS...
