    My wonderful new cat Emma!

Thanks for adopting an adult shelter cat. I've had my Gracie for about a year and she's been wonderful. (Same story, but I was looking for an older cat. She picked me out as well.)

    Cat Sitter DVDs

Gracie was utterly fascinated by the Life series on Discovery channel, especially the section on birds. Wish I had a DVR for it.

    New pics of Gracie

I agree. it's a nice perch. She usually spends her time in the blue chair next to it though. I swear I'm going to quit buying accessories for her.

Curious why my cat will touch me with his paw

I get a similar thing in the morning. Gracie paws at me so I'll move my arm from under the covers so she'll have something to curl up against.

    New photos of Gracie

A few new pics of Gracie, taken with the cell phone, so the picture quality isn't great. Profile from ground level. She made her way to the middle of the couch and snoozing between the cushions. Curled up in the corner of the couch.

Gracie isn't quite that bad, but she likes to be in the same room at least. Usually curled up on the chair a few feet away and snoozing.

Pics from a first time cat owner

Pics from a first time cat owner

Yes, she has me wrapped around her paw. The transition has been much smoother than I expected. Doesn't shed too much, no litter box issues. Occassionally decides I need to be up before the alarm clock goes off, but it's not a big deal. It's rather pleasant being awakened by a cat nuzzling you.

Pics from a first time cat owner

Hi all. Adopted a 5 yr old tabby from the shelter about a month ago and she's been a wonderful addition to the family. Originally went in to look at another cat, but Gracie decided she had to come home with me, running over and marking all over my shoes/leg. (She's not really as fat as she...
