Hi Rod,
Welcome to your "new family!" There's always room for one more -- well, in your case it's three more -- and when at least one of those is a kitty, then yahoo!
I agree with mews2much, and suggest you call the vet.
You don't say how old your cat is; as in is it a kitten? Maybe she's teething.
Or, perhaps she has other tooth problems.
Thank you, mews2much, for the info about your cat with kidney problems. I'm sorry you lost him.
I posted several weeks ago about Jonny of the short legs and rotund belly who cannot seem to clean himself when he gets "dirty pants!"
We've also done the cutting of the hair around that area but I'm always afraid I might cut something I shouldn't!
We tried something new the last time this...
I agree with farleyv's comment about cats being able to "read the calendar."
I'm sorry, zoeysmom, that Delilah seems so ill that she's in the box as well as now losing foam from her mouth.
You indicated that you called the vet and they must be closed because it's Christmas. I'm wondering if...
We're a multiple cat household, too.
And even when we had dogs, we had more than one.
Sometimes, we'd start out with one but when we were done, they had "friends!"
So, if you can afford a second cat, it's wise to get a second one. They do keep each other company. Besides, we find four are fun...
Rang,
Oh, I'm so glad to know this story has a happy ending.
After I read your poem, I felt so bad for the little guy.
And, as Mollysmom said, it is so sad but true!
We take ours to the vet in one of those sturdy plastic carriers when we go, too.
While it would be nice to let one or the other sit on the car seat beside us (or under the seat, as has happened), it's easier to drive and have a cat in a carrier than it is to have a cat wandering around on the...
Tash,
Hi and welcome to TCS.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss...and at such a young age.
You certainly do have a "full fur life" and I'm glad they're in your family to help you through this.
I look forward to learning more about you.
Karen
Hi Everyone,
Thank God for Google!
I found my way here a couple days ago via Google because I was looking for Forums about cats.
We are a family of six living in Iowa: husband, wife (moi ) and four "Boys" of fur. They're all Persians with babydoll faces.
Three are 12:
Jonny (Cat) is a...
Troant,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
They become such an integral part of our lives it's hard when they go.
We've lost several over the years so I can understand a little what you might be feeling.
Just know that you've got lots of support here.
Karen
Hi Dave
Welcome to TCS.
And congratulations on the "new family!"
For all the things you're getting around for the new ones, don't forget your "baby/kitty" gate. We used the side of a very large cardboard box to keep ours from going down the basement stairs when they were little.
Memories...
Hi Dr. Marie,
It's nice to meet you.
Welcome to TCS.
There's always room for one more and with your expertise, you'll bring a different point of view.
I'm looking forward to your input.
Karen
This thread has been a fun read. Thank you all for your comments/solutions.
One of ours, (Jonny Cat), a silver Persian, with short legs and a very round belly, frequently gets "dirty pants" after he's been in the litter box.
And because of his body stature (short legs and very round belly) he...
Sandras,
I see it's been about two days since you've first posted...and then nothing else.
I hope that your not posting is because you and your little are off having a really good time somewhere.
And I hope you were able to get your kitty to the ER the same night you first wrote here.
