Yes, Taco is a very lucky girl. And I just can't stop hugging her. She was one day old last year when my husband found her and her sisters in the engine compartment of a front end loader at his work. They were our Easter Miracles as they must have been born on Easter. I couldn't find homes...
Thanks mom for putting my story on. Taco is happy to be back with her sisters Mighty and Beefy. It's been 14 hours since she was saved and I am still on edge. I thought she was gone forever when i couldn't find her in the night. My husband took off of work and once he spotted her I had such...
My mom Farleyv asked me to answer your post. My cat Stanley has this problem. He is very long haired. I have to keep him shaved back there (hygeine cut). And Stanley also stinks in general because he will NOT wash. He will wash his face after he eats, and thats it! Its very frustrating. I...
Oh, how wonderful you took this little baby in and are getting her help. We found three babies almost 8 weeks ago...they were a day old. So i know what kind of commitment it takes to raise a baby. Please keep us posted.
sorry I have been MIA. Kids and kittens and cats and outside animals keeping me busy. Sugar sure is a darling. Just too cute. I don't understand the runny stool still. Especially if they have looked at her stool under a microscope. I would start a new thread and ask on here because more...
You are too funny....you are looking for more things to be worried about. I am so happy that Sugars appointment went well. I was thinking of you this morning. Looks like you are going to finally start getting some sleep. Mine are five weeks now and I feed at 10pm and then 6 am. So I am able...
I have three orphans who are five weeks old and I have had them since a day or two old. About a week ago I started introducing them to a bowl with formula in it. One kitten (Beefy) loves the bowl and doesn't want the bottle at all. Another kitten (Mighty) wants nothing to do with the bowl...
Oh, please let us know how she makes out today at the vet. I hope that going will help you worry less. Remember that if she doesn't poop everyday its okay at this age. Pretty soon, she will be going every day at certain times. At five weeks now, mine run out of their crate in the morning and...
I know it is hard missing out on sleep. But soon that will get better. You will be up less and less as time goes on. Longer time between feedings and she won't need that rice bag forever. It's harder on you than it was on me because I didn't have to reheat so often because they had each...
Well I have read and been told that their poop should be the consistency of toothpaste at this point. And then a little harder every week or so. My babies stools were very loose, but once we got that dewormer into them, they have been perfect ever since...so if there is a variation it may be...
Oh I agree about the declawing. I wouldn't do that to a cat ever. Just a suggestion because I have five week old orphan kittens here. I still leave a stuffed animal in with them. They love to cozy up to it. Also, I still heat a rice pad for them. Granted mine have had that since one day of...
Oh good. I am glad she drank more....probably a bit hungry from not eating as much the previous times today. When you go to the vet you will get a weight and that will give you a better idea of how much she should be drinking. I believe on the KMR can there is a chart or somewhat of a formula...
Well, I still wouldn't worry, and just wait and see. If tomorrow she continues with not eating much, then I would start to wonder and maybe make a vet trip. She's peeping and pooping now and acting normal besides not eating as much. Like my mom, Farleyv said, maybe just an airbubble in her...
You know there have been times when my babies just didn't eat as well as other times. I wouldn't worry too much. I know I keep telling you that, but mine did the same thing. As far as chewing on the nipple, ahhhhhh....mine did and still do the same thing. In fact I just had to go buy another...
OMG....what a sweet little baby. I can't believe its all white. Are you gonna keep it...it will be a beautiful cat. Momma was very pretty too. I love grey cats, she looked like a sweet kitty. RIP
Yes, my vet said 8 at the very least, but that keeping for 9 or 10 is the very best. Just a suggestion. Mine are 5 weeks now and I will keep them at least another three...possibly four or five. That's both for their benefit and mine. lol
To cslenker .6 lbs equals 9.6 ozs.
A&A's....you are doing a great job. I did start letting my babies sleep more at night around this age if they seemed to want to. Now, they go about 7 hours at night. I wouldn't do 7 hours, but maybe 5 as long as shes sleeping.
At two weeks I asked the vet...
Well I am not an expert but in my opinion, I would take to the vet anyway on Monday just for a general check. But yes, if she doesn't go by Monday, that would be three days at least that she hasn't gone, so I would do a vet visit. I know that the vet can sometimes be expensive, but I think...
