I adopted a third cat a few weeks ago and he's been aggressive with my other cats.
Some back story: I have a territorial female, Greta, who needs to be the boss, and a laid back male, Chester. It took the two about a month to get used to each other, and they fought..but never to the point of...
Aww, this is bringing me memories of last year, living with 2, two year old kittens. A christmas tree is giant cat toy.
I got lucky with my new kitty, 5-6ish year old Chester, we just put up the tree, and he's decided that underneath is his new bed.
I wish I knew more of his history, and why his previous owner declawed him.
I think the best thing is to get him out of the room for "quiet time" like it says on the sticky, but sometimes I get too scared to pick him up when he starts biting.
It's so weird, any other time..he's purring and...
Chester has been with me for about a month now, I still think he's the sweetest cat in the world, while the honeymoon stage is definitely over.

Thank you all for the welcomes! Chester is still doing wonderful and he and Sheba (the dog) have been caught napping within 5 ft of each other.

He has been with us for only a few days, and is already a happy member of the family.
Here he is tonight:
and yesterday (check out that...
I gave him a can of wet food yesterday and he ignored most of the food and lapped up the 'water' but he has been drinking plenty of water, including out of the dog's bowl, oops.
And here he is: (if I can do this right..)
This is the picture that was with his ad online:

And his...
Thank you for all of your replies. They really make me feel better.
He has been eating and drinking, but I still didn't see any litter box action this morning. I am hoping something will change by the time I get home later. Otherwise, I'm assuming he has found a secret pee spot that I am not...
I adopted Chester yesterday (a 5 year old, adorable long-haired fluffball) and first, he got terribly carsick on the way home. He vomited and defecated A LOT and unfortunately it got all over him since he was in the small cardboard carrying box the Anti-Cruelty Society provided. He has long...
