Don't Bathe My Cats - Am I a Bad Mom?

I am a groomer and we get quite a few kitties into the shop - every one of them loves getting a bath . I honestly wouldn't attempt a bath for a long haired kitty at home....they should be taken into a groomer who knows how to groom kitties. You have to make sure every mat is out before bathing...

VERY IMPORTANT - P&G buys more quality food

My dog was on EVO small bites and I was so sad to have to switch him off of it due to this ....he was doing so well & I got so many compliments on his shiny coat (and he's just a Doxie/Min Pin). He's now on Earthborn's grain free and while I think its "okay"...his coat isn't as soft and shiny as...

    Which dry would be better?

I thought it was only Arizona, but I was glad to find out that I can still get this food when we move to PA in 3 years. Free delivery to my door is awesome! http://www.paulspetfood.com/

    Which dry would be better?

I'm feeding a mixture of the Nature's Select & Chicken Soup and am seeing much firmer poops in the litter box. Apparently Nature's Select has had a lot of clients who's cats had runny poo before eating their food.

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

I don't have the extra money to spend on building Marvin an outside shelter. For now, everything is working out with him going outside and staying in the fenced in backyard for a few hours every day/couple of days (he has proven he can't get out). I guess I'd rather have this going on then...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

I didn't let Marvin outside yesterday or today, but there is such a difference around here! I'm glad I decided to start letting him outside in the back yard then rehome him . My one kitty, Tibi, still beats on him whenever they cross paths in the house...but other then that, things have been...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Why do I have to pay for her cat? Hrm....I have been asking myself the same question for almost 5 months . Oh yeah...because she dumped him on me ! For now everything is fine....Marvin goes outside all day on nice days and it seems to be making him happier when hes in the house. So far he still...

    Tidy Cat on sale

Tidy Cats was on sale for $10.99 for a 40lbs box at PetSmart. I went and got 2 of them and am thinking of going back tomorrow and get another one! It was such a good deal (I think I saved $6 per box).

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Just letting you guys know that I ended up letting Marvin outside on Friday before I left for grooming school at 9:15am...when I got home at 4:30pm he was still hanging out in the backyard sun bathing. I let him out again all day yesterday (Saturday) and he stayed in the back yard. He was also...

    Which dry would be better?

Thanks, Sharky...I think I will try a bag of the Nature's Select and see how it goes . 3CatsN1Dog...I won't feed TOTW ever again because it made my cats pretty sick last year.

    Which dry would be better?

So is the Nature's Select good food? Sorry, I'm just confused by the colored text. Maybe I can mix Kirkland with the Nature's Select (if it is a good food).

    Which dry would be better?

I switched my cats off of NB duck & green pea due to not finding it very cost effective and I always found wet poo in the box that was the same color as the dry food. NB was costing me nearly $50 for a bit over a month of 20lbs of dry. The cats are now on Chicken Soup adult (about $60 for about...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Well, when it comes down to making sure MY own kitties/rabbits/dog are fed and happy...then $50 will be spent, but I can't blow another $20+ extra a month on a cat for flea meds that isn't mine and my MIL apparently doesn't care about. And no one mentioned getting any other pets. Believe me...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Marvin does get close to my cats....close enough that they end up beating the crap out of him and then he turns around and tries to beat them up. We break up little cat fights at least 2-3 times a day . We thought over time it would get better, but it definitely hasn't. Since having Marvin...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Sorry, we just can't spend any extra money to make the yard "cat proof" . I'm going to have my husband talk to his mom. If she's okay with rehoming, then Marvin might have to go outside until we can find a home. I just don't think my cats (and Marvin) can take the stress anymore....its pretty...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

I wouldn't get the local shelter/rescues involved, as I can find him a new home for him on my own if I have to. Plus....it isn't their deal and they have A LOT of cats and will soon have more with spring coming up. I don't like the idea of him going outside either, but it is pretty clear that...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

We have a pretty large back yard that does have an existing fence. I just don't have $250 (shoot...even $50) to make the fence cat proof.

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

Unfortunately we don't have the money to spend on a fencing system for him. I am not working because I am going to pet grooming school full time (which is costing quiet a bit, too). Besides, he isn't our cat....he "belongs" to my MIL and she wouldn't pay for anything like that because she...

Not sure what to do about MIL's cat...

My MIL moved to Wisconsin (from Arizona) in December - we moved into her house and are renting it from her because she plans to move back here in 3-4 years. Well, she decided it would be more convenient to only take 1 of her cats with her. She gave her "adopted stray" to my SIL and left her male...

    Do You Have a Plan?

We don't have "a plan". I've been meaning to, but I really need to sit down and put it together. With [currently] 1 small dog, 4 kitties, 4 pet rats, and 4 house bunnies....uhm....I've got a lot to plan out. When I have the money, I need to buy carriers for every animal...or at least 2 larger...
