    Pawing over food dish !

    What does it mean ? She eats a little, then paws OVER the dish, moves round a bit then paws at the floor again.... this continues for a full circle sometimes ! It looks to me as if shes "burying" the uneaten food.... but what IS she upto ?

    Our cat has just started this.... she goes to her food bowl, then reaches over and paws the "ground" - she will do this at various angles then has something to eat, or somrtimes just walks away !!! Any ideas what she on with ?

    I would assume shes "grooming" you, just as you "groom" her by stroking ! .... unless you taste nice

    How many words does a cat "understand" ?

    Since adopting our new (new ? its 6 months already !) kitten, the family never seem to be amazed at the amount of words she "understands" !!!! We were always of the understanding that cats were independant compared to dogs, but she seems to have a large vocabulary... Do you think its all down...
