Hi, I have two bengal kitties, both age 3. The male is very calm and the female is a firecracker. She only stops moving when she's asleep She loves water and will stand outside the shower and *SCREAM* (and try to jump over the shower door!) until you let her in. She talks constantly and can...
I'm so sorry to hear about your boy. My male was a grand champion once, but soon after, my girl took a nip out of the back of his neck that left a scar, and his once velvety, highly glittered pet was permanently marred. No more awards for him! and this was BEFORE she started behaving badly!
Thank you all for your logical, witty, and sometimes just plain funny, advice.
I too am going through "The Change", so maybe she and I have some commonalities. I think I'll ask my husband about that. But I'll warn him, first!
My 3-year-old former queen Bengal is increasingly aggressive and displaying progressively bad behavior, such as biting and ignoring "no". She's actually putting herself in danger by jumping on kitchen counters where there might be knives, and on the stove where there might be live flames. Her...
We are remodeling with hardwood and marble tiles. My kitty decided that he *loves* a piece of slate tile we brought home as a sample. He lies down and rubs, and rolls around on it. So funny to watch! It's his now, of course
The breeder from whom we bought Chevey (a Bengal) uses chicken feed, too. We agreed with her that natural products were better but couldn't get to a feedstore so we bought the wheat litter at a pet store. I don't actually smell anything but I'm cracking up over the reference to the Houston...
Thanks everyone! Here are some pics of my kitty: Canicspots Cheveyo of Brilliant! (We just call him Chevey - he's too little for such a big name!)
He also has his own blog on our Website: www.heckskitchen.com/cheveyo.html
This is where he shares his feelings about his new home and the...
Hi Tara's, and thank you for replying so quickly!
Just to let you know, the cattery from which we got our kitty is a wonderful, loving, underfoot place where the owner and her husband have actually modeled their house around the breeding cats, the kittens, and their needs. We met them and...
Hi all,
I'm so glad that I found your site! I don't know why I didn't think to look on the Web for a site like this before now.
Four weeks ago, my husband and I bought a retired Bengal stud kitty from a local cattery and we are having a wonderful time watching him become a family member...
My two-year-old Bengal puts everything that he likes in his water dish. I read that some cats do that because in the wild, they keep things that they like in their "nest" for safekeeping, and so domesticated cats may use the water dish as their place for safekeeping (presumably because they see...
