okay well they was no white stool but this white cremy colored pee, i think. it would only be a very drops at first and then he would pee normaly again. it hasn't happened in a while though, so i don't think that it was anything important.
how else can you detect coccida? through a blood test...
yeah i wouldn't mind it so much (it doesn't really bother me) but they are still being stimulated (only 3 weeks old on thur) so every time Maddie sucks she "drinks" there pee and her whole head gets socked and poo covered so i don't think that it is very healthy for her and i am sick to death of...
hey well the vet tech that did the fecal said that there wasn't much poo (so little) but from what was there she could find no worms or anything. I asked what about the blood though and she said that it might be coccida then.
what would the treatment for coccida be then? and is tapeworms and...
UPDATE:no more noticed blood in stool and weird white stuff gone so far.
thanks katie for replying
she thinks that it might be cocsitiea (sp) i think. but they are too little right now to draw blood from yet.
but what else is there that i shold worrie about?
recently i have had to seperate the males and the female kittens i am raising. before it was two males and two females so they each had company but last wed i lost dolly to Maddie is all by her self now. I fell horrible that she is by her self (with a stuffed dog) but she was sucking on the boys...
hi all
as some of you may know I am in "mothermode" right now hand raising 3 two and a half week old kittens ( there was 4 but Dolly died of dehydration-maybe) any ways the other three are all doing great but today as i was stimulating Lester i noticed that there was a little blood in his...
best of luck! are you going to try and tame the kittens? you shouldn't let them be with momma for more then 5.5-6 weeks. ( i think) or they might be to wild already.
my kittens will be 3 weeks old on thursday (approx) and the biggest is only 180g. the smallest is 165g. but they have big fat bellies and such. are they under weight?
thats too bad. i really hope that you will be strong and remember that it was nothing you could have done to change what happened. there on the other side of the bridge now playing with my little baby too.
i just hope that she didn't suffer. i mean i didn't know that they could dehydrate so fast! on tuesday she was fine! she was eating and going to the washroom fine too.
thanks for all the support
I had four 2 week old kittens that i had been rasing since birth. and one of them dies today! I co-worker/friend of mine asked if she could take them for the night (lst night) so that her kids could see them and such. Iwas stupid and said sure! What was I thinking? i shouldn't have let her...
yes i do stimulate them and they do that quite fine.they had loose diarheea the first couple days but now they have "nice" poos. I use KMR ready to use formula. i guess i will have to start to feed them every hour them. right not i have to wake them to feed them- or else tehy will sleep for...
okay. thanks. see my vet told me that they would be fine if i feed them then 6 hours! i didn't think that was right but it worked out for me becuase i have school in the morning. any suggestions as to get them to gain more weight? or juist feed them every hour.
sorry i messed up there they are one week old today! you think i should feed then every hour though?? on the formula for the KMR it says i should feed 2 tablespoons for every 100g over 4-6 feeding a day. does that sound right?
A week ago today i got 4day old kittens that some one at my work found in her ditch. They were very wet (it was raining ) and qutie cold. Since then they have been eating well have had normal bowle movements. The day that i got them I weighted them: Lester- 105g , Maddie- 90g, Lucky- 110g...
