I woke up this morning to find a dead bird in the house, poor thing. And a smattering of feathers strewn about the room. No blood or open wounds on it. I disposed of the bird and vacuumed up the feathers. Do I need to do any additional disinfecting or cleaning of the area?

I will definitely wait it out longer. It's encouraging to know cats can take considerably longer than a month and a half to integrate.
