Hi All,
I just moved into an apartment with wall heaters and I know that the metal on the heater can get very hot (my brother burning his butt on one as a kid). I don't want my cat to get hurt. Does anyone live in a home/apartment that has wall heaters? How do you cat proof a wall heater?
Thanks!
They're sending me a box for my 23 cans...sigh. I just went to the store last week. The cans are from both this trip and my last one though, so this means my cat has probably been eating recalled food for about 3 weeks. Good thing it's time for a vet check anyway.
I'm going to visit the store...
I just paid $734 (US) for a cleaning and two extractions (after a $100 discount). She had some tartar, gingivitis, and extra teeth. They cleaned her up and took out the extra teeth.
They gave me a breakdown, it included*....

My cat is 4 years old, indoors only, and 10lbs. I feed her one can of food per day. The Natural Balance food is 6oz and the Wellness foods are 5.5oz. She sometimes leaves a little food in the bowl when eating the Natural Balance, so I figure 5.5oz is good for her.
I can't for the life of me get a good look at my cat's back teeth in order to brush them. I know if can be done. The vet did it! She's starting to get plaque back there, so I need to brush it.
I've been brushing her teeth daily for the last week with Logic Oral Gel and a C.E.T. cat toothbrush...
I have one cat. I feed her a mix of Wellness Core, Wellness (grain free varieties), and Natural Balance (grain free varieties).
I go to a pet warehouse store, so the food is a bit cheaper than the regular pet stores, but they don't have the large cans of Wellness there. Usually, I spend about...
It seems that the previous poster was trying to say that a whole can of wet and 1/4 cup of dry is too much food. You should either feed her 1 can of 5.5oz and no dry or 1/2 can of 5.5oz and 1/2 of the dry serving size a day. Try feeding her twice a day about 10-12 hours a part.
If she wakes...
The easiest way for me is to burrito wrap her in a towel or small blanket and cut one paw at a time with cat nail scissors similar to these: http://www.petco.com/product/10274/J...t=OnSiteSearch. I've tried regular people scissors and people nail clippers before, but I feel much safer using...
I feed my cat wet food they same way I fed her dry. I feed her twice a day, once in the AM and once in the PM. I leave the food out until the next feeding time and dump whatever is still in the bowl when it's time for more food.
When I switched her from dry to wet I tried to only leave the...

No, I got my cat several years back when I lived in Stockton. My nephew got her on the way home from school from another kid who's cat had kittens. We were surprised when he came home with a 4 month old kitten!
It looks like the answer is a definite no! I'll check with the vet, but it seems from your replies and the website given that it's not necessary as long as she's not in danger of getting bitten or mutually grooming with another cat.
I'll make sure to get small-holed wire for the enclosure. No...
Should I get a FeLV vaccination for my adult female cat?
She's completely indoors now, but I'm planning to build her an outdoor enclosure so she can go out sometimes. I know that there are at least 3 other cats (and maybe some baby cats) in my area, some of which are strays and none of which...
It's a good food. My cat was on Natural Balance dry for about 2 years until I switched her to primarily Natural Balance wet food (the grain free flavors).
I don't know which one should be neutered first, but make sure to look into low cost spay/neuter places. I spent almost $200 to get my cat spayed and I could have just spent $35 at my local. Check with the city and the local animal shelter.
Ever since I changed my cat from an all dry to an all wet food diet she's been coughing up hair balls every other week. She only coughed up a hairball twice the whole time she was on dry (almost three years), so I'm not really familiar with hairball issues.
I don't want to change her food...
Has anyone else had this problem?
I switched my long haired cat to an all wet food diet from an all dry food diet about 2.5 months ago. I had her on a dry only diet for about 2 years and she only hacked up a hairball twice in all that time, but since the switch she's produced at least 3 or 4...
Hi Guys,
My cat is pooping (only poop) on the couch. The problem originally started when my cat was having a bout of constipation. She would poop on the couch when she could go and she peed on it once or twice too. I changed her food from dry to wet food (which cured the constipation issue) and...
I have an almost 3 year old manx/dlh and she is exactly the same. She hates to be picked up and she tries to avoid being stroked most of the time. The only place she likes to be stroked is on her head & chin. She purrs up a storm when she's stoked there. She likes to be near me though. She...
