Cat excessively licking & then running away

Please offer advise, if possible! My cat is a 5 year old Bobtail. Had him since Sept of 2016. My wife and I took both of our cats to the vet last month for their annual checkup and shots. When they got home, my male cat (Mylo) started licking near his tail and then running away like he was...

    Claw trimming ...every week?!

Is it normal for my two kittens (both are 6 months old) to need to have their claws trimmed every week? I seriously JUST trimmed them last Saturday, and already have a bloody hand from simply playing. The scratches on my hands swell up and I have to keep applying Iodine tincture to stop the...

    Car cover problem...found!

Kept wondering why my car cover kept getting pulled off to one side. Looked under today and found out why...  Mia, the 5 month old female is apparently using it as a hammock, and it looks like Mylo (grey male) is waiting for his turn!

Okay, got one Kitten from the animal shelter...

Just got him yesterday. Three months old and my wife wants to name him Mylo. Very affectionate and follows us everywhere in the house. He sometimes does not hear us upstairs and starts meowing really loud. As soon as we call though, he comes running up the steps like a bolt of lightning! Only...

Hello again. I have a few questions

If this is in the wrong section, I apologize. Please move it accordingly. Unfortunately, I had to put my oldest (and last) cat down on June 12th due to him having no use of his back legs anymore. He was 16 yrs old and I still cannot talk about it much. I'm trying to hold myself together even as...

    What causes hair matting?

Our oldest 6yr old male cat doesn't have any issues at all, but the 4 yr old (younger) female seems to get matts or knots in her hair all the time. What can we do to help prevent this. We groom them a few times a week, but the matting still persits. Any suggestions?

    gifts Gifts GIFTS!!

The stray be brought in (Lily) comes and goes at her pleasure. She normally is waiting outside the door for one of us to open it, runs inside to grab a bite to eat, then wants out. Well, lately she has been leaving gifts on our steps as she is waiting for the door to open. Personally, I laugh...

    Kackling...

All of my cats make a wierd noise when a bird or rabbit is near by. I laugh when I see them do it because it's a chorus of kackling from three cats at once. Anyhow; What does it mean?

    Cat not burying her doodoo

The other two cats (including the stray that periodically visits) buries their mess. KittyGirl, the indoor female, refuses to cover up anything she creats in the...

    Eukanuba Cat Food:

The Vet gave it to me on 4-14-06 to give to the cats, but they don't like it. It's made by Iams and is a Low Residue Adult Formula that also says "Nutritional Intestinal Formula" in 6oz (170g) cans. They came in a case of 12, but I used one can...do the math . If anyone wants the rest, please...

    Hi!

I work in the Law Enforcement field, live in Philly, work on cars and love animals. I own two housecats, one stray cat that stops by everyday to eat, 30 Koi-fish in my pond along with 3 bullfrogs, & 2 underwater snails, and a wild Skunk and a Groundhog that I like to feed. Haven't had the Skunk...

    New member with a Question:

Would like to start off by saying Hi! My very first post is going to have a question though... I own 2-1/2 cats. Two are my house cats, and one (the 1/2) is a stray that I brought in that comes and goes as she pleases. Anyhow, I had a problem with my 4 yr old female in the past month. Her stools...
