I'm sorry to report that the weaker black kitten died last night. We tried everything, but the poor thing was just too weak to survive. The other two kittens are doing great though and I think that Bailey is finally getting the hang of this mothering thing.

My cat Bailey is pregnant and I was looking at her nipples last night and they seem very dry and almost scabby. Is this normal or should they be soft and supple? Do I need to put something on them???

It's too late to have her spayed...I'm pretty sure by her size, etc that she will be having the kittens VERY soon. We have her indoors though and will not go back out until she is spayed. We have found homes for 4 potential kittens.
