Sounds like an Upper respitory infection. (URI) She needs to be seen at the vet as soon as you can. If you have other cats in the household you are going to want to keep them seperate from her as Upper respitories can spread like wildfire.
Do NOT give kittens catnip until they are a year old. It is actually quite dangerous to young kittens. Learned this the hard way whiledoing rescue work. Just though I would pass it on.
In the first post and picture number one. What breed of kitten is that? We have one exactly like that and think that it may be a ragdoll. Would be helpful to know what you think.....
If your female was never preganant then she will NOT produce milk. You need to bottlefeed them! Don't rely on the female cat to provide nutrition to them, as she has nothing to provide.
I feed 3 week olds every 3-4 hours, and they eat about an ounce to an ounce and a half. You will know if you overfeed them if they start to get diahreah. Also, you will need to stimulate the little one at this age to go to the bathroom.
How can you tell if your cat has a URI?
I am fostering 8 week old kittens, and they were given an internasal vaccine 2 weeks ago.
Tonite I noticed that one of them is wheezing a litte, and was sneezing some. He had a tiny bit of greenish discharge from nose. But the thing that is confusing...
Hello I have 2 6 week old kittens now that i am fostering, and was told by my rescue coordiantor that I could worm them. I wormed them yesterday, and today I noticed a coupld drops of blood mixed in with the stool of one of them. Is this normal? They are acting fine other wise, eating...
I get reimbursed for all rescue expences. This includes, KMR, Vet Bills, Kitten food, and canned kitten food. The rescue I work with is awesome when it comes to taking care of there volunteers
You need to take this kitten into the vet. If they are haveing diahreah this bad, they will dehydrate in no time, and you will loose them. So as soon as you can take them into the vet!
This is not true in all cases. There are alot of kittens that are abandoned at this time of year. And we as rescues get them. Thats why we have bottle feeders. Thats why all the cat rescues dread this time of year cause of "kitten season" Kitten season has sprung early this year!
Kittens don't normally poop when they are on KMR. And if they do it is very little. I learned this the hard way, by the rescue group I am with. As soon as I started to feed them solid food they are going normally now.
They look to me like they are 4 weeks old... I have kittens and they are this same size. Double check the date, and maybe ask to have a vet re evaluate them.
