yeah, i replaced all her bowls so they're ceramic. and she does have a light-colored chin. she's had acne for about five months now. i've been washing her chin, but it doesn't seem to ever go completely away. i always see the little black flecks. i'll try the stridex then maybe change bowls again.
Apparently Galway is going through her teens at 2 yrs old...she's been diagnosed with cat acne, but my vet said there isn't a whole lot of treatment/products for it beyond good old fashioned soap and water or even using human products. Does anyone have any methods/info they'd like to share for...
I'm right there with you. My cat has been spayed three times. Once they missed a large part of the uterus. The second time they missed both ovaries, one of which was cystic. And the third one just occurred about a month ago. Since that last spay, she called and stuck her bottom in the air for...
My cousin, who is a lawyer, suggested small claims court. I can't imagine court costs there being so much that it wouldn't be worth it somewhat. I don't have a lot of money, so the $300 I had to spend on the spay and the following hospitalization b/c my cat recovered poorly from the surgery...
I adopted her through a foster mom who takes cats from a shelter if its crowded or their in risk of being put down...so I guess I could call her. I've been trying to avoid it, since I'm still very angry about this and what happened to my other cat that I adopted from her. He apparently had a...
Well, I adopted her "spayed" but she went into heat January and had a large piece of uterus removed. Then she went into heat two weeks ago and they removed both of her ovaries which had apparently been left in. I didn't go back to the same doctor as January. I am now looking into suing the...
my 2 year old dsh was recently spayed for the third time. yes, three times. she has recently begun howling again and my vet says that it's because she still has hormones in her body and that it will take 1-2 months to be rid of them. i'm not going to be able to take 1-2 mos. of howling. i'm just...
Yes, my vet wanted me to bring her in right after she started howling which I did and he removed the tissue or whatever it was. I just wanted to know if that happened a lot or if it was more rare. I don't know where she was spayed (private vet or shelter). I'm just very sad for her that she has...
My cat was just spayed and I was hoping someone could tell me what's normal behavior/eating habits/etc. and what to look out for and any sort of advice for caring for my baby. Thanks!
Has anyone ever heard of a cat being spayed but the vets leaving in a piece of ovary? Is this common? I just have to have my cat "re-spayed" because when they did it the first time (before I adopted her), they left a piece of ovary in and she went into heat.
Turns out she was in heat. When they spayed her originally, they left a piece of ovary in. She had it removed and is now home recovering. She's really tender and not a happy girl, but she is eating and alert. Poor little thing. I just want to cuddle her, but I'm letting her rest. It's so hard...
I have a two year old, spayed cat who I've had for the last seven months. I adopted her from a shelter. Within the last three-four days she has suddenly become very vocal. She is still eating/drinking/using the litter/does not appear sick. But she has begun plaintive meows which occasionally...
Thanks. Gals is usually fine when we got to my parents' house and she even has a different box. I just wanted to check. We're attempting to do it today. I'm just going to move it and show it to her. If it doesn't go well, we'll try the two boxes method.
My kitty, Galway, does this thing where she knows the litter box is her bathroom but she only likes to pee in it. She hangs her little rear over the edge and poops just outside the box. I don't know if her spatial relations are bad or she truly doesn't want to poop inside the box. I just put...
I adopted Galway, so I'm not sure if she had a bad experience before (she's just 2) but she seems to be getting used it it. Now when I vacuum she runs to the other room, but when I come in there to vacuum, she just climbs to the top of the highest furniture and sits and watches. She used to just...
Thanks. I have moved it before for brief periods of time (ie: 2 hours) and she figured out where it was and even used it in the new location, but this is going to be a permanent move and I didn't want her to regress or anything.
My Galway isn't so much a watcher but she loves to watch the water coming out of the faucet and she comes back in when I get out and just stares. It almost looks like she can't figure out why on earth I need to be in there.
Thanks. That is pretty much what my vet said when I took her back today. He told me to take her off the a/d and give her baby food until her stool gets more solid. He also gave me medicine to give her twice a day to help her stomach. I don't know about her, but I feel a little more comforted...
