Hi All, just a quick update, the vet said it is a hotspot and gave him an antibiotic Jab and a steroid Jab, and antibiotic tablets and steroid tablets and cream to administer at home, she also cut his claws to help prevent him taking the scab off.
Vets appointment was 24 hours ago and it's...
I'm gonna try an e collar and trimming his claws and calling vets in the morning when they open. We are gonna mention food and litter to the vet anyway and see what they say. Xxx
Oooohhhh Mackerel, I won't tell him or he might try to munch on his own tail lol, thinking he's tasty.
I've already found so much great stuff on here I've saved the site to my phone's home page.
Yea an air horn seems way too extreme even in a case when the cat isn't blind, we use a finger click/snap and a firm "no" when Sergeant Pepper claws the carpet, and it is starting to work, shame it's a bit late for the carpet though
I don't know if cats suffer from dementia or not but you say it's like it's the first time he's been in your house, maybe he's getting short term memory loss and forgetting the other cats are his friends and that it's their home?
Ok we adopted an 8 year old cat on 14th Feb. Roughly a week or so after he developed little scabs around the back of his neck and throat, we are pretty sure these are from general Scratching and most have healed up and the scabs have come off.
One of them seems to be getting worse, he must be...
Haha yes I only discovered that he sleeps in the cat bed last night, he is a bit of an enigma as he's really not interested in boxes, we give him plenty but just sniffs it and wanders off.
Hello, My cat is called Sergeant Pepper, he's a silver tabby and loves strokes and headbutts your hands for more strokes. He purrs loudly and snores loudly too.
He has a thick black strip down his back and is almost tiger striped.
