I have had pet sitters and have also used a reliable kennel. I am a travel agent and don't recommend taking cats on vacations out of the country. There are rules re: quarantine in some countries. The stress of travel is a lot as well. Keep them home with a loved one or a nice warm kennel.

If he leaves Bonaire, he'd see me more. I am in Bonaire 10 weeks a year. He would have to be inside due to predators on Cape Cod. Not sure how he'd love that. His entire 12 years he has been cared for my pet sitters as I have always gone back and forth.

I love you for this. Maybe you can reach out to a girl scout or boy scout troop or anyone, to come help you socialize and feed them? This is a lot of cats and a big project to take on alone. You are doing very well. Stay strong and definitely, sterilize.

week two update..he eats treats out of my hand..he pushes his head into my hand for head rubs..he purrs and kneads. He is still in a large crate but soon, I hope to have him in a small room with no hiding spots and later, the living room..baby steps..

Week two update: Blanku lets me rub his head, in fact, he pushes his head into my hand. He kneads and purrs as well.  He is in a bigger crate and has more room. Baby steps all in the right direction.

Blanku update I tried to spoon feed some baby food but he would not eat so I gave him a spoon and he ate in front of me. Also, he is cleaning himself in front of me often. I love it. Small baby steps are pure gold. I love this boy. I feel rather bad about Blanku. He is giving me stink eye...
