he's drinking on his own (water) as of tonight, and he had his first bowl of mushed up kitten kibble! just a few days more of formula, i can barely believe it!
well i guess I just had to complain, he started eating tonight from a bowl!! I had to put his probiotic powder on there (he has the runs) but he loves that stuff so much he gobbled it right up and now understands
when i made this name back in 2016 i was kind of in a panic to just get to asking something and didn't really consider my name, is it possible to change my name?
two questions~
one) his poop is a perfect soft toothpaste and he goes on his own in the litter but he does often fuss when going. his rectum is very raw, so i've taken to using coconut oil on it, but any thoughts beyond the obvious? no signs of parasites.
two) we're about 6 days into the gruel...
he is doing even better! the vet has said to wait and see if he recovers on his own, but other than a bit of an irritated throat (he's on softened / wet food only still) he is his normal self!
he is doing so good! all the swelling is gone, he's playing and eating like 3x what he had been (catching up to his normal intake) his wound is healing well, he still has a bit of trouble swallowing anything big so he's staying on wet food but, he's a happy kitty
after 2 doses of SEB he spit up a bunch of white mucus that was kinda in gross sticky string, after that he ate TWO bowls of food, walked around purring and can MEOW!!! he's also trying to get the other cats to play with him through his kennel, I think he's going to pull through!! thank you so...
i have been doing it with the kitten i found, from 1 week to now 4.5 weeks and weaning and he is just fine! no idea if that's 'ill advised' but we've had no issues!
did he possibly eat anything unusual or lick anything foul tasting? i don't know much about rabies but i know my cats will foam like this when something nasty gets in their mouths. wishing you luck in this though <3 thank you for treating baby with love
just gave him some food with the SEB syrup and he ate almost half the bowl with a good bit in there! im hoping he will start feeling much better soon and able to eat more. will keep all updated
we are 4 weeks old now!!!!!! and almost exactly 16oz. He has a bit of a hard time walking around without losing his balance but he is driven to explore a lot now. I know it's getting close to time to think about weaning him, can anyone offer advice on how to wean a bottle baby? he's pretty stuck...
tonight i found the wound in his ear and it was quite pungent and nasty, i cleaned it thoroughly, which kitty liked, and afterward he ate his food and propolis quite happily (he also had a big poop and a couple pees and drank on his own!!!) I am hopeful he's on the mend. his SEB will be here in...
thank you so much for the info and I am still calling around trying to find anyone who might take us! i will let everyone know how he does. the SEB will be here tomorrow
noted, thank you!
he only has the episodes when he tries to meow that ive seen, he paws at his mouth and grins his teeth so i definitely think its something impacted or infected or the like. he purrs when i rub around the area but is very much lethargic otherwise. he is eating though not tons...
I've felt him pretty thouroughly and cleaned all the cuts on his face, if there are any (he has had them before) it's too swollen to see them. usually when he gets in scrapes we give him propolis and several days of recovery, and this definitely isnt the worst thing he has had happen, a snake...
I am wondering if he has a tooth or ear problem? One side of his face is a bit swollen i've noticed, but he doesnt mind me rubbing it and it doesn't feel fluid filled, but the ear on the same side is definitely leaking something wet. i dont notice any foul oder, but ive been careful to sanitize...
an outside cat which we have been caring for over the last 9 years, he lives outside but sleeps inside a shelter we have built and during bad witner/summer storms, went missing for 6 days this last week. he has done this before and been okay, but he showed up quite worse for the wear, we've kept...
