We decided to send Nox on his way this morning. He wasn't eating for me and he would rarely even open his eyes. Thank you all for your advice and help through this journey. Hopefully, I can save the next little one who comes my way with the knowledge.
I don't know what to do. I'm beginning to lose hope that there will be a happy ending for Nox. He just seems to have given up, and there's really been no improvement since my last post other than he peed without stimulation twice today, though I don't know if he's just too weak to even hold his...

Thank you for your response! I do feel better about his inactivity, but it just worries me a little still.
Yes, the heating pad is what caused the overheating. We've taken precautions now to make sure it does not happen again.
We have fed him AD food before, but it seems any...
He seems good. Eating, pooping, and peeing regularly. But I think he's depressed. He just lays there with his eyes open staring at nothing. Are there ways I can try to stimulate him to play? When I tickle him, he just kinda gets mad.
Yes! He got a steroid shot today, and the doc put him on a different antibiotic that penetrates the brain wall (I think thats what she said but I was exhausted so it's hard to remember) because they think he may have an infection on his brain.
He seems stable now. His little tummy is so big because the doc put warm nutrients directly into his abdomen cavity this morning. My fiancé keeps calling him little Budha. 128522
His pee is completely clear right now, and his little bottom is so sore from being poked all morning for temp checks...
We are at the vet for an emergency right now. He became over heated this morning and we ended up cooling him down too much. He's been poked and prodded all morning, and I'm so mentally and emotionally exhausted. The vet said we could go either way but since he's still fighting we can too. I just...
We have a healthy adult cat who wants nothing to do with him. Whenever she sees him or smells him on me she hisses (she's normally a very sweet kitty). She's been a momma so I was hoping she'd help nurture him but she doesn't like him at all. She's gotten more used to him, but will still hiss if...
I have wondered if he is lonely. We try to hold him on our chests whenever we're with him, but at night and when we're gone we lay him in a cat bed with a heating pad halfway on it so he can move off if need be, and include hand towels and soft socks to help fill the extra space. I will try...
Hi everyone.
I'm at a loss on what to do, so I've turned to the Internet for help. Two weeks ago, on a Thursday, I took in a month-old kitten who had been abandoned by his mother. I took him to the vet immediately to get him checked out; he was so tiny and sleepy. What we first discover...
